If one dimensional support of one team has never been your understanding of football then you have never had an understanding of football. One of the most ridiculous statements I have ever read on here.
What Rush said is correct. There is a generation of football fans who haven't seen Liverpool win the title, why is this worthy of a dig?
Speaking as someone who grew up in Liverpool in the 70's, trust me, if they win the league we'll never hear the last of it.... They're already fapping themselves dizzy at the prospect and there's still a month and a half to go ffs.
I don't want Liverpool to win it for similar reasons to Polly. They haven't been in the wilderness for long enough.
I honestly couldn't care less who wins the Premier League. As long as it's not Man Utd, but I think we're safe for a while on that front... I did predict Chelski before the season began, so i'll stick with that.
This thread is funny.....not in a great gag, laugh until it hurt funny....more shakes head and smiles as he walks away from the monkey cage funny.....
They did win the Champions' LEAGUE if that counts. Otherwise, no. The year I was born Blackburn won the Prem, and Ajax were the best team in Europe. How times change.
Surely that depends on how it is interpreted? Unless you've actually heard Rushie say it you can't gauge what tone it was said in. In reality, the words are indeed factual. Feel free to replace "Liverpool" with many other teams in the country and it will be equally factual.
So you are one of the generation of football fans Ian Rush was talking about then Polly should have just said he doesn't like scousers
I did. In fairness he also said it was nice to see Everton back up there with you, "back to the 80's" and all that.
