http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...t-English-football-JAMIE-REDKNAPP-column.html Good god, i'm fed up of hearing this for the last couple of weeks, its exactly like most of the pundits saying '' Steven Gerrard deserves to win the premier league.'' No team or player deserves to win the league, they have to earn it.
Matth we've played the most consistent football at the highest level so far and deserve to be top. Like it or not we are top. Doesn't mean we'll win it. But when Cafu tweets that he believes Flanno is the RedCafu then we must doing something right His official account https://twitter.com/officialcafu please log in to view this image
Woweee!!!!!!! Matth, if Gerrard wins it he will have earned it and so therefore deserves it. I really, really don't get your outrage at someone offering their opinion on something. To my mind, I think Liverpool do deserve to win the league. I hope they don't but they are certainly worthy of it.
Calm down Matth. it most likely will be City to win it so you are not going to be happy anyway. Your beloved Chelsea can still save your season.
Plenty of footy to play yet, to win it we'll have to turn over Chelsea and City and if we manage that then nobody can say we don't deserve it.
I think it's shocking that a former liverpool captain has said that they deserve to win the league. I am so glad that a thread was created on the United board to highlight this unjust and despicable point of view, even though it has nothing to do with us. Redknapp should be thrown in jail, or at the very least banned from having an opinion on football matters.
All this "deserve" is nonsense with 6 games left, whoever finished 1st will deserve it until all the games are played it's just silly to suggest someone deserves to win it.
Don't get this Liverpool hating, especially from Utd fans who've never lived in the area to understand the rivalry. Having worked in Liverpool many times over the years I've always found them genuine pleasant friendly people,a far cry from the image Utd fans in particular choose to portray. Might be different as a City fan but we've always been able to socialise with scousers in pubs before and after matches without any problems so I don't believe it's particularly a Manchester/Liverpool thing rather something borne out of jealousy when Liverpool were the top dogs in the 70s & 80s If city don't win it I really hope Liverpool do
Yeah, it's just that. You two lots being joint best fans in the world ever you're bound to get on aren't you?
Certainly a class apart from the utter scum that follow Utd When we play Liverpool it's the Hillsbrough Anninversary, thank god it's city visiting and not Utd bringing shame to our city as they usually do.We will be impeccable
Pathetic!! using Hillsborough for a dig at United fans. Stick your embarrassing as **** support where the sun dont shine.
Like pplf I've worked on sites in and around Manchester of course there's a them and us atmosphere and lots of good humoured banter and I've met lots of decent City and Utd supporters down the years, the rivalry between us and Utd can get really ugly at times but City going back to their Maine Rd days was a place we could go into the pubs close to the ground and not run the gauntlet.
I'm sure your supporters would be a damn sight less impeccable if they had to put up with Liverpool fans throwing cups of piss and **** at them in the Anfield Road end. And I don't recall all City fans being oh so impeccable when it came to the Munich disaster. Or keeping your spare change off the pitch for that matter. All your bleating about your fans being "a class apart" is just bollocks. All clubs have good fans, all have tossers who use the club as an excuse to act up and spread abuse, particularly when there are rivals. You wouldn't get the Utd - Liverpool rivalry because City have never been the biggest or most successful club in Manchester. Same way Utd don't have a rivalry with Everton, despite both both our clubs having many decades of success behind them, and Everton arguably being more successful than us before SAF arrived. The biggest and most successful clubs always attract rivalries between each other - it's why Chelsea fans have more rivalry with Spurs and Arsenal than they do with Fulham and QPR. And it has nothing to do with Liverpool's success in the 70s - we were both the most successful clubs in the land with a massive rivalry before Liverpool won a single European Cup. For all that, if Liverpool do win the league this year then they will have absolutely deserved it. Hurts to say it, but imo they have played the best football, at least from an attacking point of view, whilst Chelsea and City are as much up there thanks to their defensive and midfield organisation rather than their ability to do the business in front of goal. Still hope they ****ing well don't tho'!
Page thats because for most of their history, and now, City have meant **** all to any body. hence why they have no rivalry except for with United. United and Liverpool being the 2 biggest clubs in england have a great rivalry which can be soured at times but most of us know where the line is and dont cross it. Thats on here and in the real world.
