I have been supporting Spurs for over 20 years and I have to say without doubt this is the most depressed I have ever been about the team and club. This is saying a lot given some of the seasons we have had over the last 20 years!
RememberColinLee summed it up perfectly on another thread highlighting the absolute pastings we have taken from the top clubs this season.
Before the season started we were supposed to be one of the top clubs! All the expectation of the new signings and how we sold Elvis but bought the Beatles. What a load of ****.
The rest of the season can **** off now I couldn't care less. I don't know what the answer is. I kind of feel sorry for Levy as you can see what he is trying to do but it's just typical Spurs, when we seem to be onto something good we **** it right up.
I think 9-0 aggregate to Liverpool over 2 matches is the icing on the cake.
Good luck to Liverpool though I don't want to take anything away from them today they are a class above.
88 goals scored against 40 says it all.
Actually we still have to play west ham away. Who would bet against another 3 or 4 nil loss? I wouldn't.

You need to salvage pride, string some wins together, and hold off United.

Then make a change in management - a good one this time, and things will seem a lot brighter.

Only 3/4 seasons ago we were well and truly on our knees (worse that this) and now we're flying.

Things change quickly if the board make the correct decisions.

Cheers for the kind words B4F.
Feel quite depressed this evening and it's been a while since football has made me feel like that!
I hope you win the league. You play great football, have a core of English players and although you have spent a lot of money, nothing like City or Chelsea.
I hope that in the World Cup we play Gerrard, Henderson, Sturridge and sterling and although Rooney is no Suarez he could do a good job for the team if they play him in the Suarez role. That team should play with a lot of confidence and at least be enjoyable to watch, whatever happens.

We've had far worse and more depressing seasons than this one, even in recent years.
This one's veered from being pretty boring to some utter dross with very few highlights, but it's been more dull than depressing, for me.

Worse than this RCL? It's the high hopes that I had before the season that makes it the worst. At least before I accepted we were **** with the odd great player or 2. And there would always be a magic moment in the season. Can you remember another season where we have been thrashed so many times?

It's probably the biggest wake up call for those who thought we where title challengers or believed Levy and Enic where making us title challengers.

You had crap like '' Lewis had sanctioned a spending spree to make us title challengers '' from people claiming to be ITK. Morons!

In real terms yes of course we have had worse seasons PNP, but it was the high hopes we had last summer with supposedly one of the best squads in the league, and that we should be pushing for top 4 as a certainty and maybe even higher. I have really lost all love I have for the club right now and it is pretty embarrassing being a Spurs fan tonight.

Cracker it Is embarrassing to watch us get hammered but it's setup for someone like Redknapp to walk in and make the squad believe in themselves. That could be Van Gaal on this occasion but we really aren't far off becoming a decent team with the right management and signings.

Agree Boss but where do we go from here?
We do have some really talented players. To have Sandro and Dembele on the bench for today's match seems crazy when they are 2 top players. Is it the manager? Is it the players just being out of form? Or is it just typical Spurs? I veer towards the latter as it always seems to be like this.

Sorry for the negativity but it's helping my mood getting this off my chest!

Imagine supporting Leeds or Portsmouth or something.
We've had a bit of a **** season and we're still above Man Utd at the moment.
Other fans have lost their clubs entirely or gone from title challengers in the Champions League to getting pummeled in the Championship by Bournemouth and going broke repeatedly.

We were **** today, but I wasn't really expecting anything different, once I'd seen the lineup.
The manager doesn't know what he's doing and the personnel are irrelevant if they're not being used correctly.
It's hard to be that depressed if you're not expecting much.

The 70s were awful mate....managed by a gooner twat.., ruined... relegated...all in my first 3 seasons as a fan...
In our first season back I remember 4 -1 at home to villa, 5 nil at home to the goons 7 nil away to pool...and finishing no where...we also took 3 matches to beat non leaguers in the fa cup ...

This season has been boring imo ... but I do get why you feel like you do

You have not been the same since Harry left. Last season bale covered over your inadequacies. You seem lacking in so many areas with too many similar players in midfield . What's happened to the £100 million of players. Only eriksen looks worth his place in the team and he was average today.
You have been unlucky with Soldado as most would have thought that was a good buy (paid too much but good player) I was hoping he would come to us. Now looks awful, because he has little or no support.
Adebayor helped when he was bought back but has gone off the boil.
Sheer wood was never the right choice. Think you will need to seb another £100 mill to get back in contention but needs to be spent better and you need a new manager.

    Cheers mate <ok>

If you can just limp to the finishing line - then just make a change and forget about the season I think.

It would be interesting to see most of our lads in the England team.

If we won the league it would give them a buzz going into the World Cup which could ultimately benefit England!

Sorry those posts crossed Boss and maybe a new manager will be the answer. I just want some continuity and someone getting the best out of these players as they do have talent they just aren't showing it and it's bloody frustrating!

Many Spurs supporters down the ages would like to have been supporting the club when the general
play is s-h-i-t-e yet be only 13 pts away from the league leaders with 6 games to go,

13 with 7 to play, 15 with 6. The premise holds.
But not so depressing as say being 15 behind 4th with 6 to play
(how poor would that be) .

Clutching at straws? Sorry don't mean to be petty but with the funds you had and the core of players already there you should at least be challenging for 4th. And your abysmal record against the top clubs is just unacceptable...in fact it's even worse than manures!

I can empathise with you lot at the moment as Utd are in exactly the same state. Beating the rest unconvincingly doesn't make up for being hopelessly outclassed by the better sides, whoever plays and in whatever combination (from the massive squad). Spurs' mistake was bringing in a group of untried players with no PL experience and expecting instant success. Utd's mistake was to think that a group of players past their best could be miraculously motivated to have one last hurrah. Either way the lack of quality and balance in both teams has been cruelly exposed when it really matters (although we haven't shipped quite as many goals against the big boys as you). Reinforcements are needed (especially defensively for both) and a period of patience from fans for teams to be rebuilt and to settle. There is no magic cure.
