"I'm glad Liverpool has broken the recent top four monopoly"

Always root for the small clubs.
I am hoping Everton can similarly cause the Goons some grief.

The chase for Suarez last Summer paled in comparison to the chase for Bale.

Arsenal submitted their joke bid and that was about it really.

I'm not even sure the two situations can be properly compared - rejecting £85m+ for 1 player was never going to happen.

That does not answer my previous questions. Rogers has a vested interest in making out that Liverpool did some brilliant thing by not selling Suarez. AFAIK that insulting bid by Arsenal was the only interest they had, so I don't see how they are due much praise in turning it down and again AFAIK Arsenal didn't attempt to raise their bid at all. I am sure that Real or Barca did not bid for Suarez as I am sure he would now be a Real or Barca player! Similarly, and regardless of the unrelenting anti-Levy sentiment on this board, selling Bale to Real was about Levy's only option, and he got a world record fee for him so I can't see there was much more he could have done. You can't just tell a player they are not going to be sold when certain clubs come knocking (Arsenal not being one of them).

Its a poor attempt at a WUM as you contradict yourself as in the previous posting you said "Its the manager that makes the difference", now because you have attempted a failed WUM you try and suggest Redknappis "average" and point to naming four players rather then focus on his management making the difference.

When we got top four it was players who where called "average" like Crouch, Defoe, Bassong, Lennon, Gomes etc who made the difference. The "star" names like Modric and Bale had indifferent seasons and it was Redknapps management in managing the team that made the difference.

Just like when we went to AC Milan in the champions league and got a great win, it was Crouch and Lennon, not the big names, the average players who make a difference when managed correctly in a team that plays for their manager. As you have seen under AVB, it takes good management to reach four years in charge.

You can point to Redknapps final season but he was here for four years and even then he left us in a stronger position then we're currently in, or have achieved, not bad for an "average" manager.

As much as Pool were magnificent today., Spurs were equally as poor.
In fact I think that's as bad as it gets. Sherwood has nothing positive to salvage from this game., nothing what so ever. Dry your eyes, tear-up the plans and start again., would be my advice.

We've never sold our star player to Arsenal either. Xavi Alonso disn't last long at Liverpool once Real Madrid wanted him

We lost one of the best CMs in Europe in the summer of 2012. Stronger position indeed.

Its is at times like these that I feel sorry for Lloris. He is obviously one of the best keepers the club has ever had, but is having to play behind a defensive unit which doesn't add up to a shower of ****. And the tactics employed, wouldn't even add up to a shovel of ****e.

After Redknapp left. Pay Attention as you have been making sarcastic comments all afternoon trying to grab my attention like a desperate little boy.

Are you seriously suggesting Harry sold him over Levy?

An average manager will do well some of the time and poorly some of the time - that's what makes him average! I'm looking at his whole career not the good seasons he had with us. If he was the main reason those players performed so well why hasn't it worked with any other club he has managed.

You are making the mistake of confusing randomness with skill. No Spurs manager since Bill Nicholson has had enough time to prove whether he is good or crap really.

We didn't get a CL slot. Reason to stay another season gone.
Just like with Bale the season after.

    Another joke of a display.

Tim, I genuinely believed you could've been decent for us; young, English, knows the club, hungry to impress... ****ing hell was I wrong. I can't wait for the Summer to know you'll not take charge of us again. The players look like they don't want to be there, the football on show is a disgrace and worst of all, the fact you hide and sit in the stands is an utter embarrassment. **** off and **** off sharply. Only Tottenham could go from one **** manager to another.

Kaboul was horrendous to watch today, Dawson played his super(****)sub role to a tee, Danny Rose was Danny Rose and quite frankly everyone else out there was bollocks too.

Credit where credits due to Pool but how easy do we have to make it for some teams at times. It's a shambles.

And finally, I'm not a religious man but if there is a God or Gods out there, please ensure Danny Rose never kicks another football in a Spurs shirt.

Tim hasn't made any comments to the media yet.

At least have the balls to go out and face the limelight.

Portsmouth, West Ham and us have all finished in their highest premier league position under which manager? Harry Redknapp and that is because he managed the club his way, understand? try and understand Power because you have contradicted yourself often that its pointless trying to debate as one minute your saying one thing, next your saying the opposite, thats why your no better then HIAG in wum mode.

I actually don't mind heavy losses too much. Makes sense to try to chase the game even if it does leave you open. Much rather lose 4-0 than shut up shop at 2-0 down.

I also don't really agree that our players are uninterested. We actually carried on all the way to the end - despite the individual mistakes no-one hid from the ball

I apologise for the way I wrote the previous post but being a manager who gets 3 or 4 clubs to their best position and presides over three relegation seasons still sounds pretty average to me. You really can't just choose the good results.
