...but they didn't beat Palace!Makes it a bit more difficult for us,but we must beat West Ham on Monday night!Survival is in our hands....we must keep our nerves and believe that we can win our home games!
Tell me about it, they ruined almost every accumulator I had on. But on a serious note, I agree, we could do with as many teams in the **** as possible.
We can't rely on other teams, at the end of the day if we win our home games we will stay up, regardless of the other teams. We beat West Ham and we're 1 point behind West Brom with us still to play them at home. We really should stay up
But west Brom might pick up points while we almost certainly lose all our away games. It's not all down to that one game v them, unfortunately
You have lots of home games against "weak" opposition. You'll get another 10 points at least this season.
It should be but strange things happen at the end of PL seasons ....... iirc Hull have 3 away games on the trot, after Arsenal, then Everton on the last day. Tomorrow could see you 5 points from 3rd bottom with WBA & Sunderland having games in hand on you.
There's always surprise results and we can definitely spring some in the away games - if we win 4 home games (I know - doesn;t look likely on form) but if we can, then we are safe IMO. If we win 3 home games and pick up a couple of surprise away results (draws/wins) then great. You just know that the Hazard that turns up against us will not be the one that played against Palace on Saturday!
Play against Spurs, Everton, Man C, Chelsea and Man U like we played against Liverpool, and we could win any of those games. Hell, based on past games we stand a better chance of beating 2 of those teams than beating West Ham. Spurs and Man U are the easiest of those games IMO, and even Chelsea are running out of steam at the moment. We know we can give Man City a game, and we owe them for the final. We havent lost any game till we have played it, and I am not despairing now
