Well the fools hope should we have won, is done and dusted now (and rightly so) .
Wonder if Timmy will consider playing some Academy kids for the remainder.
Assuming they change their surname by deed poll to "Bentaleb" .

Gary Lineker points out one of the many problems with Sherwood's managerial decisions this season:
"Tell our players how good they are, rather than where they're weak. Rodgers has done exactly that at Liverpool, and look at the results."

Telling players that they're **** and uncommitted results in **** and uncommitted performances. Can't say that I'm surprised.

This is exactly what I can't get my head round. I would never, ever want us to lose or concede more goals regardless of circumstances.

One who gets us punching above our weight - not always a long term solution.

Spurm isn't being serious with that comment as hes just making a point that he wants the club to sort our future out and because he doesn't have much faith in the owners, its a tongue in cheek remark to suggest we would need to be in a much worse situation for much to change.

Although sadly not much will change either way.

Emotions clearly running high on the board now. Yes, we've had a pretty dire season with a few highs and mostly lows. What can I say... we have to look forward and hope the club can sort this mess out but it's not all bad. So we'll most likely get 6th, maybe 7th but that is on par with our thinking at the beginning of the season so can we all really be that disappointed?

  8. Unnecessary comment mate - I was pointing out that it wasn't only HIAG who was making negative comments which were apparently offending some souls.....
Take your <doh> and use it more usefully

Not sure if this is accurate, but it sounds about right:
Own goals and individuals errors have attributed for 45.2% of the goals Spurs have conceded in the Premier League this season.

Teams don't even have to create against us, as we do it for them.

"One who gets us punching above our weight - not always a long term solution."

Especially if the excuses on that front start coming in when results stop going your way.
The club should have the uttering of "punching above our weight" as an immediate dismissal
offence in the contract for future managers.

Losing 4-0 isn't as bad as losing 5-0 so today was an improvement <laugh>

The team we sent out today wasn't anywhere near as good as Liverpool's. I'm not a fan of doing player for player comparisons but Eriksen's the only player we had in our 11 who could improve their line up today.

I agree though, there's a lot of quality players in our squad but we're missing a stand out player or two like Liverpool have. It's a good base for a squad though.

How in hell are Spurs in their current PL position with this + the non-scoring ?? :D

Liverpool and Spurs have been in the same boat for the last few years, both trying to get into the Champions League. Now we see the benefits of an organization who have stuck with a manager who had some talent and kept their star player. They will get the rewards over the next few seasons. Sadly for us we have an owner who seems to be interested in making a quick buck. So we flog our best players, spend the money on players who are over rated. Sack a series of managers and will not doubt end up out of Europe, mid table, and looking like a joke. I might be wrong but that seems like an appalling way to run your business. The season is done and no doubt in the summer we will off load our better players to make some quick cash for the 'club' and I have a certain amount of sympathy for Lloris, Vertongen, Soldado, who were sold the idea of a playing for a club on the way up, but the reality is a lot different.

Is the long term solution to achieve lower league positions?

Please explain how we were going to keep Bale once the Real machine got underway? Please also explain how Pool would have kept Suarez had the same thing happened to them? Regardless of how it looked today I think the difference in Spurs whole season was not much more than them having Suarez and us not having Bale.

The average one who happened to be around when we had King, Kaboul, Bale and Modric all fit and playing!

    NJSpurs :

Keeping Suarez after this season depended on the Poool getting a CL slot.
And no covetous c***s like Get real Madrid doing the state-sponsored summer unsettling.

Not because of some great club masterplan.

We have been there, seen it, done it, with Modric. <ok>
