Listen mate I know Sherwood has screwed up often with his tactics and sets himself up for being hammered (both on and off the pitch) but because of his lack of experience we can't really expect much and hes an easy target while Levy sits there and will be all smug hiring Van Gaal. Plus, it won't have done much good to the players and management to hear "Van Gaal is a done deal" that basically gives the players another reason to think about the summer.
I agree completely Boss but has it ever been any other way under Levy? He is the cause of the uncertainty at our club. Hires and fires at will.
Thats why I believe these Van Gaal rumours as you can imagine Levy enjoying the sneaky aspect of going behind Sherwoods back even if many fans want Sherwood out, he done the same with Jol & Ramos and no one at ENIC will challenge him over his appointments.
Can we see a replay of the Sktrel foul at the start of the move, please? No? Didn't think so. A chorus of "Who's the Scouser in the black?" is hurled at Dowd.
The annoying aspect about the game is that you can see Liverpool are open at the back and while they are the best attacking team in the league, if we could just calm down then we could at least get some pride back.
45 minutes of football gift-wrapped by our defenders and a touch of bias from the ref. Nice work. Cues halftime rant from Sherwood. Let's see if we can show any pride in the second half.
Well that was crap, wasn't it? Rubbish team selection, shambolic defending, an enforced substitution and conceding two stupid goals. Can't see how Sherwood's going to do anything to rescue this one, frankly.
I don't think it's their fault. Defensively, yeah it's 2 more bad mistakes costing us but we're just not set up right. The selection suggested an attacking intent but with Erisken on the left, no real intent to overlap from the fullbacks and Soldado largely left all alone to chase lost causes. If we were going to sit back then we should've selected a team to do so and a formation too. Far too easy for Liverpool, there might've been luck from there point of view in 2 bad mistakes but we've hardly been in it so far and they deserve the comfortable scoreline. Here's hoping Sherwood works his magic at half time
Sorry to not follow on with an anti-Sherwood, anti-Levy post which appears to be the only type of post allowed these days, but this is an important point. The ref is really working hard to give Suarez the opportunity to score a free kick. This one was just pathetic and I agree that commentators should call a cheat a cheat. As PNP says, they had no trouble saying Bale was diving (even when he wasn't!)
Levy is the man who took our club from mid-table mediocrity to being top 4 challengers and deserves our respect. He looks like he made a big mistake in sacking AVB and replacing him with Sherwood though. It's outrageous to suggest that any of us take delight in Spurs losing - but he is the first Spurs manager I can remember where I can see no pattern at all in the selections or the tactics. As antone got any theories at all as to why we are lined up as we are?
