They should be pretty happy with 6th and 9th. Considerably better than the car deserved. A little less luck and they could have failed to score at all, since they looked like the 6th fastest car to me. Jenson was talking about a weakness in fast corners before the race, but jesus they were slow.
Yeah, very impressed with Cumberbatch as an interviewer. Perhaps that's the way they're going to go? Get celebrities who are F1 fans and naturals on camera to do the interviews, rather than getting ex-WDC's to stutter a few words out?
Caterham got a 13th and 14th though so I presume move ahead of Marussia in the championship? Wasn't impressed with Sauber though, before they retired they weren't much in front of the "new" teams. Looks like Sauber have regressed rather than the others catching the pack. Anyone else starting to think that the need to save engine parts is going to cause a lot of unnecessary retirements? As soon as points looks unlikely, there's almost no point finishing the race and putting the extra mileage on parts, if it's going to cost you later in the season.
Well that was a spanking by Mercedes and very dull race all round. Sherlock aka KAHNNNNNNN!!! Was at least a positive as he is already miles better than anybody else who has done it.
I hope Red Bull doesn't put poor Ricciardo's through this crap too much more or he will break just like Webber did. Please don't destroy the young man's confidence.
Can't blame Massa for holding position, doubt Bottas had the speed to do Jenson anyway. Poor guy must feel that no matter where he goes and who his teammate is, he is going to be the bitch of the team.
One other thing....why did red bull pit think they could get Ricciardo's left front tyre on properly without jacking up the car? The wheel nut guy was there trying to put on the wheel and the jack man was just standing watching not even trying to put the jack under the car...... That was really poor. The Jackman looked like he was admiring how twisted the wheel looked instead of raising the car.
Its a hydraulic jack, and the red bull system controls it rather than the person if the wheel guns say its on the jack drops by itself and the guy just moves it.
This was after the car was pushed back to the pits...one would think he would have had it on the jack so the wheel could be put on properly....even the commentator was shouting boy get the jack under the car..get the jack under the car...the guy was just there standing watching the wheel nut guy fight to get the tyre on.
If u watch it again you will see the jack guy come out but didn't jack up right away.. He was just watching.
