I'm not impressed with Sherwood's interview in the Independent today: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...tottenham-players-because-i-care-9222515.html “They are all internationals,” Sherwood says of his squad, “but it is like fixing a washing machine with someone else’s tool bag. Sometimes you might not have the right bit in there.” FFS - We've got an amazingly large and varied squad - what bits are missing exactly? “The young boys can only be as good as your experienced players. In the summer, I would be looking to bring in some very, very good players with experience of the Premier League to help. Not only do they help the team immediately but they will help the growth of the young players. " We've already got loads of good players with PL experience, surely the last thing we need is more players. On what basis should I trust Sherwood to know whether these new players are better than the current ones? I don't really want another change but if Sherwood isn't going to be any good the sooner he goes and an experienced guy comes in, the better.
yep Sherwood will stay and get sacked around October leaving the door open for...... Moyes. You heard it here first
That's it., therein lies the problem YV., There are shed loads of well behaved strikers out there,. some costing as much 26 million, do we really need another one.
Meanwhile, Sherwood is STILL talking!..... http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896...-wants-to-emulate-liverpool-but-fears-he-will
I can't entirely disagree, but he's doing it with such monotonous regularity now that it's starting to smack of desperation.
The best thing Sherwood can do is win today. Levy will be looking for reasons to justify his decision; if he has made one.
Timmy is going to do a di Matteo and get a CL slot to survive beyond May. Unless he knows where the bodies are buried.
The Fail are twisting this story to suit the headline. The video interview with Van Gaal on their website is clearly referring to talks that must have occurred after AVB was sacked (and before Sherwood was hired) as Van Gaal clearly states he spoke to Tottenham but "refused" because he had a job to do with the national team. So this might all be a load of non-sense just to fill the back pages and to unsettle us as the press love to do. Not the first time for sure. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2592183/Its-deal-Ruud-Gullit-claims-Louis-van-Gaal-Tottenham-boss-summer-successful-meeting-Daniel-Levy.html
I merely reported the BBC article and then saw the Fail's angle this morning. Don't shoot the messenger!
The fact of the matter is that there are going to be a lot of big clubs in for Gaal, in the Summer, including us. Both United and Arsenal will also be interested, plus I'm sure that more than one major European giant is going to be parting company with its current manager. So, we'd have a lot of competition for his signature. Knowing how cheap-skate Levy is with managers, and how he always seems to get it wrong, I'm still betting on us getting Tony Pulis.
Could be a great appointment if it happens. The squad is pretty good, and with a bit of money and a manger who knows how to spend it, it could work out well for your lot.
Courvoisier XO, pure nectar. Whisky? then it has to be The Glenlivit, slides down as easy as a glass of milk. Not tried this Top Charlie stuff, but a little sceptical at â¬20 a hit. Try any alcohol once though.
