The more you watch Palace the clearer it becomes that they could be a hell of a team just by adding a regular goalscorer. Puncheon and Bolasie are explosive on the wings and Dikgacoi and Jedinak boss the centre.

 

They really have gotten a lot from a little, when you're looking at how the players would be rated prior to this season (and the fees paid for them). Credit to Pulis...hoofball they ain't. He has built on the aggressive counter-attacking that was in place upon his arrival rather nicely, and yeah; if you stick a fast, skillful forward up top, they could be a handful.

 

That's an Arsenal penalty for me.

 

Their defence is really good. They do miss Aaron Martin though...

 

They could do with Clyne back. Mariappa won't do much bombing forward.

 

Berahino crossing instead of running at the corner reminds me of Crouch v Everton at home in 2005.

 

I am still trying to erase that from my memory...as far as I'm concerned that was the day we got relegated. But hey ho, look where we are now

 

Zaha?!

 

On Rosicky? It was a blatant dive.

 

If only we had Buttner also Rooney comes a step closer to sneaking onto the plane against all odds.

 

There was never a chance that Rooney wouldn't go.

 

There was clear contact.

 

If the England team was picked by popular vote he probably wouldn't.

 

Absolutely, there's just a few loud people who insist he shouldn't.

 

Not sure about that. You don't pick a team based on popularity...his admirers would vote for him and quite a few detractors would grimace but do the same. England are not so blessed with quality players that we could afford to leave him out.

 

Plays for Cardiff?

 

There's a lad who has lost his way after signing for a big club...he doesn't always start even for Cardiff. His photograph should be pasted on the Academy walls as an example to all young lads.

 

On loan there? Was more making a point about keeping hold of your young stars since he came from palace.

You'd have to say, a Merseyside double is expected.
