Man for man our squad is far better than theres by a country mile, our squad will be paid four times what the millers are paid.
There club came up last year from the league below,we came down from the championship.
If we are serious about getting out of this league next year the likes of Rotherham should not get in this clubs way home or away.

Getting back to gdknac's comment on the ball being taken outside the box by the keeper. This is one of the infractions that rarely, if ever, gets punished by the referee and the reason why is it should be a red card for deliberate handball which would appear to be harsh. Just watch Joe Hart the next time because he is one of the biggest offenders and if he does it at the World Cup he could be sent off.

It's time it was called because it is a definite infraction and should be punished in the future by a yellow card and not a red unless it is done again. The other annoying infraction that rarely gets called is a foul throw in by having the feet across the touchline and again watch and see how many times it happens in a game - you will be surprised.

An expected result if I'm honest and now we move on without too many negative comments.

I bet you couldn't even name 3 Rotherham players, how would you know man for man who's better or not? They've been in the play offs all season, beaten higher teams in cup games such as Sheffield Wednesday.. Whilst we've been in the bottom four the whole season.. I know which squad I'd rather have.

"If we are serious about getting out of this league next year the likes of Rotherham should not get in this clubs way"

Am in on OTIB or not606?? I've never seen such stupid comments in my life. Rotherham have a top manager (even though he's a ****), a fantastic brand new stadium which puts ours to shame. Some fantastic players who could easily play in the league above, an ambitious chairman who wants to expand their stadium even more..There's only one club who had a define right to win yesterday, and it was Rotherham.. and they did

I seriously understand why the sags have the theory that our fans think we're billy big club, thanks to comments like this.

    Totally embarrassing..

That stadium yesterday does not put Ashton Gate to shame. It is characterless and looks cheap while the atmosphere from he home fans was poor, as in almost sient.

Yes I went. City didnt really go toe to toe with them. A lot of the passing was in areas where it would affect nothing and was going nowhere. It wasn't a bad performance but Rotherham were more effective at what they did, and they appeared quicker . City had a end of season mid table feel to them and a couple left a few % in the dressing room.

Much more modern look, inside and out, it had lovely surroundings outside the stadium.. ok it was a bit small inside the stadium but it could be easily expanded..

Thought atmosphere was okay.. better than 90% of the away grounds I've been to.

Bland and concrete typical modrn Mcstadium. Refuse company or something sponsor one end. Away stands were far too steep. Home fans were silent or close. Open stands suck the noise out and at times it could have been a friendly atmopshere. No intensity or edge to it making it boring. Wont go again unless City are tearing it up and that was the view of all on our mini coach.

Fair enough, all got our different opinions, personally enjoyed going to an away match where there was actually home fans attending..Not going to lie sometimes the atmosphere had a pre season friendly to it, but then so did colechester, shrewsbury, Oldham and all the other rundown stadiums in this division.. it's modern football. Atmosphere in stadiums is so 1980's..

If only life were that simple.
If it were, the top of the Prem would read

    Arsenal
    Birmingham City
    Chelsea
    Man U
    Bristol City
    Liverpool (or Leeds)

Isnt life a funny old game eh RP ;)

    Shame
They should be starting next season a few months early, then they will be in a powerful groove when next season actually starts.
They are probably looking forward to putting their feet up for a few months, but would benefit very strongly as a team and individually, and be a big help to their manager in putting together a promotion side if they just pretended it was now next season (which would then of course mean that they would cement their places in a successful squad and get a Christmas break, or else fulfil any private agendas and move on :))

Bristol City now begin to represent, for the players, an opportunity individually to boost their careers next season, certainly based on the club's improvement since Bramall Lane. It would make sense for them to go the extra mile for those reasons

I expected 0 points from our trip ooop north and wasn't that surprised we lost to a team in better form than us.

The pleasing things were not to have caved in like we'd have done a few months ago having gone behind so early, and the fact we were level for a while.

We still need another couple of wins though, we don't want to be looking over our shoulder should we lose to Preston

Thought the performance had that "meh" feel to it. Rotherham deserved the win, but City could have taken a point as Citys goal was hardly under siege. Expected a defeat, no train crash but felt City didn't really have a go.

Rotherhams new ground is utterly uninspiring. Police escort to the ground from the train station went through mundane surroundings. The stadium is mundane poured concrete and steel. Atmosphere was insipid from the home support. Support in the away end wasn't all that till a mob of "chaps" arrived from wherever at half time but "mundane" stifled their exuberance quickly. Mundane isn't worth the money and time for going all that way.

Not been away apart from coventry and swindon this term, would not waste my money watching the rubbish.we used to go to at least 50% away apart from last season and this.
The team has to improve before big followings return.

Nothing wrong with wanting more, RR.
However, a dose of realism on your cornflakes in the morning does present us with a clearer picture of what may or may not be acheived

Hilarious comment again, you wanted SOD to stay on as manager after he his record was 3 wins in 27.., infact if you had it your way he'd still be here now, and he'd have a statue and a stand named after him..

You'd know all about being happy for second best..

You had 4 shots on target the whole game, and you think you should of been 4-0 up at half time?? Have you all been consumed by the disillusions of the nasty, poisonous, heart attack waiting to happen manager that is at the helm for your club?? if you seriously think you should of been 4-0 up at half time then we should of won the game 10-0

Congratulations on a good season, but if you perform like you did against us in the play offs you won't go up.. We have preston next, lets see if they play like playoff contenders
