Realistically with the financial muscle we have over Everton, Everton should not be considered our rivals, even though they are our rivals this season. 15 million is a decent price for a player who I think is a very good player, but I don't think he's ever going to be a world class player, and with the players were supposedly getting like Carvalho and Kroos, then there's unlikely to be much opportunity for him, so maybe a move to Everton would be good for all concerned
Cleverley would fit in very well at Everton and i would not like to lose him unless we do get players of the class of Kroos. he will never be world class as you say, but he always gives his all and i think has United in his blood (something lacking in many of our squad), he is always available for a pass regardless of what he does with it, he never hides like others do.
Everton always manage to get enough together for a player they think will help them, not big names, just players who can do the job they want.
Won't be to us, as I'm sure Shaw will be our number 1 target as far as left backs are concerned. Baines is 28 now, so he's too old for us to be spending big money on, as we will only get 3 or 4 years out of him in his prime. I also think Shaw will be a better player than Baines once he hits his prime, as he's exceptional for an 18 year old
Shaw would be my first choice from the premier league, but as a football fan i would hate to see the Southampton team broken up because i think they can become a force in the next few years.
****ing sale of the century if you can get £15m for him. That's better value than Newcastle got for Carroll.
Agreed Tobes. If he does go to you for 15mil (very unlikely) then that's shocking business. He's more suited to a team like Cardiff or Palace. To be honest he'd probably spend most of his time on the bench even at those clubs.
