You've totally missed my point but that doesn't surprise me. I said if we win the fa cup and end the season with a points total that shows a clear improvement over the last few seasons that it will have been a good season. I haven't mentioned anything about 4th or even our league position at all.
Judging on points totals is bullshit and you know it. There are too many variables, some years the league is weaker/stronger etc.
If we have a clear points improvement and preferably finish within a handful of points from the top, along with the fa cup win, it will have been a good season. Whatever rubbish you come out with, that's just the way it is
Winning the FA cup is a good thing to do (if we manage it), but again, this aim low mentality that signifies some of the more moronic elements of this fanbase is a reason why Wenger is still in a job.

It's not about aiming low at all. Your part of the I want it all and I want it now culture that seems to be so common these days. It's about being realistic. Winning a trophy and improving over the recent seasons isn't aiming low it's being happy with progress and silverware. It'll show clear movement in the right direction. If you look at this season we could well end up being the only english team bar city to win a trophy and be in amongst the teams above us. That'd mean only city having a better season than us. So in that scenario are only city fans allowed to say they have had a good season? I just don't understand your mentality. Just because we haven't achieved our wildest dreams doesn't mean you can't behind happy with things going well...

You have to want to accept help before it will work though. Anyway, forget Kyle let him live in his bubble of doom. We played really well in the second half today and showed that even with injuries we can still match the best. Our consistency has let us down this season and against the big team there is obvious work to do, but as you rightly point out, this season has been an improvement on the last. If we can win the FA cup, then it's a trophy under our belts, the monkey off of our back and a definite move in the right direction.
