1959-60 and 1960-61 Cliff scored 42 goals and 32 goals. Makes 20 look minimal. Martin Taylor has suffered the same foot injury as Abdi and has fully recovered from it. At the start of the game he said that both teams would be desperate to win as they would think that they still had an outside chance of making the play offs.
Sounded good Yorkie. There were plenty of comments about how good the mid-field was with him, Tözsér and Battocchio. Jon Marks couldn't throw any light on Tözsér staying next season except to say he enjoyed living in England.
He seemed quite off the pace and played an awful pass that nearly let them in but I think at the stage in the game/season its more important that he got a bit of a run out. On the other hand, Battochio looked a different class today and he's a player I've never particularly rated.
Just a stat: It is interesting to note that at this stage in the season, we have a point more than Blackpool who made it into the play offs in 2009/10.
I just think there are too many teams in front - just everyone is so inconsistent. Palace after all won about 2 in 12 and of course got promoted.
Take this, especially as I have a £50 aggregate bet with my mate who's a S.W. fan. 0-1 down going into this with our away record....HAPPY DAYS !!
Now now guys. Dont get too carried away!!! The scoreline was flattering to Watford. Yes we scored 4 good goals, but we let far too many crosses across our box unchallenged. Any half decent striker would put them away, but Sheffield Wednesday were aweful! Renagie looks a talented player and he combined very well with Deeney, Battocchio excelled today, Pudil was excellent as were Tozser and Angella.
