Thought I read earlier that they've spent about £40million more than us over last season and this.

Noone is ever sure why Pardew was sacked as he was quite popular with the fans as he was our first manager after coming out of administration. It is generally accepted that he did not get on well with our chairman of the time and possibly some unsavoury incident involving Pardew in training and the dressing room. All of us were shocked in a similar way when Adkins was given the boot as we thought he was doing well but Cortese [our chairman of the time] was ruthless. Having said that Pochettino has done exceedingly well but all three managers have helped progress our team and our academy has been our jewel while we have managed to develop raw talents like Lambert - but it was Pardew who picked him up and we are grateful for that.

Pardew is like Marmite and I can understand your sides frustration, however Newcastle are far from a dreadful team (look at Norwich, Cardiff, West Brom, Fulham etc.) but it is the inconsistencies that must infuriate the fans but that surely cannot be solely the managers fault - especially as the transfers seem to be the failings and Pardew clearly had an eye for players when he was with us.

I just hope that we keep most of our team together. Good luck to you guys too.

That's why you are ninth?! To be honest how many of the squads above you in the league are weaker?

We were inconsistent. We're now consistently bad, pretty much since Xmas, or are you going to contest that? Fck it, let's offer pardew a new contract, we're obviously doing really well.

Many below us are now stronger, that's the problem. Not because they've built, but because we've refused to, and indeed regressed quite horribly in terms of playing staff. Thank the heavens Remy didn't get any better offers!

I don't blame Pardew for this season. Last season, he got it wrong in a big way, but this season you can see he's tried to improve the way we play. He's never going to have us playing like Brazil, because he's not a world class manager, and he's never going to be given world class resources. However, he is an insufferable guy in my opinion, a cocky **** without the talent to back it up, and I just don't like him.

The fact he consistently loses derbies, and his head, is pathetic though, and let's be honest, the one time Pardew was given the tools to succeed, or at least better tools, he almost failed miserably, so I do have reservations about him as a long-term manager. However, he's clearly not the major problem at our club right now, and getting rid of him is way down the list of priorities.

But he brought in some decent players and did ok for us. I didn't say I liked him as a person but he did ok.
