Newcastle's only chance at getting near our goal in that half was brought to nothing by an exquisite drag-back by Chambers, who the calmly cleared the ball. And he so nearly set up a goal for Lallana as well. MOTM for me so far.
Chambers and Clyne should both be going to Brazil, to be honest. I think the fact that they are splitting time is causing them to be overlooked and that is going to cost England. Shaw is getting the attention instead. Not that Shaw isn't a fantastic player, but England is relatively strong there. Chambers or Clyne at RB would bring more to the side than Shaw at LB. Fantastic half by Saints, other than the lack of scoring.
