On Average it rains approximately around the start time, so if it starts dry it should stay dry.... perhaps. Forecast rarely changes in those parts
It does seem they're more happy to allow this kind of wet qualifying now, last year I doubt they would of let that go on at that intensity.
Toto saying Red Bull are a real threat for the long run. "If you look at the middle sector of the lap, which requires a lot of downforce, it wasn't Sebastian's quickest sector," he said."We were quickest there. It comes down to driveability - less power is maybe better in that case - torque, downforce." "For sure we have an advantage with our engine but in the wet we can't use that exiting the corners, because we don't have enough grip."
I'm looking forward to this one... It could be a cracker! And if it isn't... There's still the first race of the Indy season to look forward to tomorrow.
Am I right in thinking they changed the tyres so that they clear water better than before? Agree it seems odd though, but welcome.
I'm not entirely sure. Apparently they clear something ridiculous like up to17 gallons per second though. They've been a little overly cautious in recent years, but I can understand why.
Yeah... Just had a quick look and apparently they have way more channels in them this year, so they should clear a lot more water. I guess McLaren were hoping they'd dry out the track for Button.
Well regardless I'm glad wet racing has seemed to return as it was getting pathetic at some points. *starts to drizzle* RED FLAG!
The delayed start to qualifying angered me the most. Why did they wait until the track was good enough for inters?
How long did that go on for? I was such a pro I could sleep until it came back on and didn't see how long I slept for as the pRe show on BBC was a bit meh.
Not to brag but for me it was when they were lining up at the pit exit. No idea how long I was asleep for, but it was starting to rain and I said to myself "yep you know this is going to be delayed".
Hardly of you boys were on this morning, maybe when the race is on... Was quiet compared to Australia, was saddened by the lack of effort.
