Even though Harry said the scouts told him he wasn't the player he needed, which presumably means Ian Broomfield, rather than Sherwood:

This isn't even confirmed, says alot that we trust Gullit because he says he saw Levy leave Van Gaals house....... are they neighbours? Why was Gullit watching Van Gaals house?..... Or is Gullit that desperate for attention he's telling lies?

  4. What's my reaction to this news?

    Thank ****ing Christ!

Never wanted either AVB or Sherwoodie, and foresaw the failure that has ensued. Yes, we lost Bale, but no way should it take this long for the players we bought to "settle down."

This is a wise move by Levy (never thought I'd hear myself saying that!), because with both Moyes and Whinger in danger of walking from their respective clubs in the Summer, someone of Gaal's quality would be attracting massive interest.

Looking forward to kicking on, next season, now.

I don't care if Adebayor scores a hattrick every game from now until the end of the season, I still want him gone. I really hope we don't wait for him to stop trying and start acting up again before we decide to sell him.

Levy did spend some time in Amsterdam a couple of years ago to thrash out the deal for Vertonghen, so maybe he's got a summer house there.

Adebayor is a changed man! But seriously it's not easy finding proven strikers so if Van Gaal is our manager, I would hope he can help Adebayor continue his form.

He's shown that he'll be hard to shift with his wages and attitude. We stand a better chance of getting rid of him this summer because he's actually behaved himself and got some goals so I'd rather we moved on from him now, while we can still get some money for him.

  13. I say we should use the Ade money to buy back Darren Bent.

If anyone can get the best out of Bent, it will be Gaal.

I've kind of contradicted myself here as usually I say I'd prefer an English manager all day long but when it comes to van Gaal being available, we'd be ****ing mental if we didn't do our best to get him in. Hopefully Tim can be persuaded to stay on here either as an assistant or another role as I do believe he has a future here as a manager but as I said, we simply cannot pass up the opportunity to hire someone like van Gaal. The man is a born winner.

I didn't say there were better available. I haven't a clue who's available and would come to us.

I'm just saying that we couldn't sell Adebayor in the summer when he was throwing a strop but we stand a better chance of clubs taking him off our hands this summer. Personally I don't think he's worth what we're paying him so I'd rather we got rid of him while we can. He's fallen out with every manager that's had him for more than a season. He had a chance of redemption with Spurs but he ****ed that up so I don't think it's worth paying him £100k a week and hoping that he won't fall out with another manager with us.

Remy, Courvoisier, both paint stripper! Now a nice bottle of Carlos Primero, available here for a mere €20 per bottle...Nectar! I have a bottle that I've had since Xmas. It only comes out once in a while - certainly not for the hoi-polloi, they can have the cheap stuff..
