Sounded like "we're gonna win the league" to me. Hardly the first set of fans to be over-optimistic, especially after 20 years of relative wilderness for the second biggest club in the country. Of course, no Chelsea fan would be as deluded as to expect to blitz the league next season.
Let them have their moment I guess. They are so starved of success they lap up everything. Will be interesting to see if they can keep up this level of performance next year, and how they do in the CL. Also will be interesting to see if Man united can bounce back and Challenge again. Should be a great season.
OP is Liverpool obsessed - probably the 100th Liverpool related thread he's posted. Some fan's are just showing their delight at how well we've done and are being optimistic. Everyone knows it's a huge ask for us to go on and win the league. It's as simple as this for me - at the start of the season I never thought we'd be in with chance. I predicted we'd finish 6th. So even top 4 is a massive achievement considering where we were a couple of years back (before our new owners came in). The fact is we have a outside chance of winning the title - accept it and move on If we don't beat Spurs on Sunday then the dream of the title is over anyway.
