Bloody cheek. I've had loads of picnics in Hull.

East Park every Sunday when I was a kid.

Fish paste sandwiches. Go on the splashboat. Possibly a row boat if Dad had any money left after Saturday night. Climbing the rocks. Wander round the aviary. Kick about. Dip my rod in the lake. ('Take that thing out of the water Ernie, it's filthy. You might catch something and then what would you do?'. 'Sorry Mother').

A tanner each for me and big sister to buy sweets in the tobacconist by the lake. - flying saucers, midget jems (have to call them jems of restricted growth these days), black jacks.

Life was a picnic in them days.

Don't be coming on here on match days with your confusing metaphors.

He always seemed to play well against us when he was at Man City, hope he doesn't today.

    We look much better playing 2 banks of 4;

    Harper
    Rosie Chester Davies Figgy
    Elmo Thudd Livermore Meyler
    Long Jelly

I'd be happy to nick a draw. A win would be a brilliant result.

I'd be tempted to bring Faye in for this match. I'm pretty sure we gave him the contract extension with just this type of game in mind.

Faye earned his contract extension via an appearance related clause, he wasn't offered it.

    Er based on what?

I don't think Bruce will play. He was brought in to do a job on Nolan's late runs into the box. Stoke's threat is more varied now. We'll need to win the midfield battle so Meyler will need to be the one to stand up to dirty Adam cos Tom and Jake won't. Their wingers are pretty good aren't they so we'll need Rosenior at full back and Elmo further up.

    Harper
    Rosenior Chester Davies Figueroa
    Elmo Huddlestone Livermore Meyler
    Longavic

Stoke have got a very good home record and a very good recent record

Everything points to a very hard game for us and like a lot of people I'd take a point today if offered now

East Park was abroad for me. The other side of town. A mysterious place.

    We're going to lose this.
