It'll be interesting to see where he is in comparison to Vettel once they're able to run both cars consistently and competitively. He might get clobbered, but I hope he can make a mark as a top driver. It's odd to think he's only 2 years younger than Vettel, who's already a 4x WDC.
I think the weekend in Australia will give him great confidence and over 1 lap he has clearly proved he is fast but I still expect Vettel to beat him.
Both showing small signs of anxiety with tyre deg with the various lip biting, but Nico seemed on further reflection with himself that it's better than last year. He also shows a bit of anxiety on Lewis being up there with him but seemed happier than Lewis on this subject in winning the race. Lewis also seemed slightly uncomfortable on how his current engine will go for this weekend with all the lip stroking with his fingers I guess he feels he might have a dodgy unit. The rest well could just be down to sweat...
I was kinda taken by what seemed a lack of confidence... Mostly from Hamilton. Hamilton also looked a bit uncomfortable there. Maybe that silly hat is chaffing.
Well, Red Bull being crap didn't last long thankfully, need someone to mount a consistent challenge to those bloody Mercs.
Well if my car broke down in fp1 then engine broke down not long after the first race...I don't think my confidence would be too high..lol. Especially if I am going into the second race with the same engine
Lotus: (external) We didn't set the time sheets alight in #FP3. Fortunately we didn't set the cars alight either. ...well that's good
So Ferrari were only slow because of the FIA? Looks like they will be back up top in a few minutes. Williams can't get complacent now. And Mclaren have been having problems in practice. Hulkenberg being Hulkenberg outdriving again. Look at the rain!
