I think he will. Suarez will win POTY so YPOTY for Hazard is the next best thing. IMO, YPOTY should be for players under 23 that have played less than 76 senior games
Because if Hazard is that good at 23 he should be winning POTY. Sterling is a teenager, which to me means he's a young player. Whoever makes up these age categories is probably about 80.
De Gea Coleman, Kompany, Cahill, Azpilcueta Silva, Yaya Toure, Fernandinho, Hazard Suarez, Aguero Player of the season: Yaya Toure
De Gea is a lot better than Cech, he has just had a poor defence infront of him this season. Cech is very reliable, but he isn't capable of pulling of the acrobatic saves that De Gea can. Courtois will be at Chelsea next season anyways, and Cech will be looking for a new club by January, as he won't like being the number 2
Goals conceded opta stats and the table say otherwise. De Gay is a promising young keeper but being in a midtable team is obviously holding the lad back.
Holding him back? Yet he has a PL winners medal to his name, unlike a certain Steven Gerrard who's spent his career being held back
Your sad bitterness makes you bring Gerrard into every thread you comment on. Stevie has got a lovely CL medal, how many has De Gay got? Last season is history horses head your club has a new manager and new status.....midtable. Theme the facts fella
why are people putting Aguero ahead of Sturridge? he may be the better player on paper and probably has more skill than danny generally speaking, but not this season he doesn't and danny has out performed him. we have 2 liverpool forwards who have scored more than 20 or more league goals each this season, and i bet deep down sad ****s dont even want to put Luis in the team either. cant argue with the rest, just the forward line makes me laugh.
De Gea is a youngster, Gerrards career is almost over. I'm sure De Gea has a lot more chance of completing his medals set than Gerrard does, it is last chance saloon for Gerrard this season
Aguero isn't far behind Sturridge, having been injured for long parts of the season. Had he been fit all season, he'd be up with or very close to Suarez's goal return. Whilst Sturridge is a very good finisher, he has a lot of weaknesses to his game, he gives the ball away to much, and he's very selfish, he ignores team mates in better positions all the time
If you offered me a straight swap right now between Aguero and Sturridge and I'd tell you to get back on your horse. Now if we did end up selling Suarez I would be happy with a striker of Aguero's calibre. But Suarez isn't going anywhere
For me -----------------Marshall Ivanovic---Mertesacker---Terry---Shaw ---------Yaya---Fernandinho -----Hazard-------------Lallana ----------Sturridge-Suarez But you could swap in Aguero, Miralles, Coleman, Cahill etc easily.
Not only that. They're the 3rd highest scoring partnership in PL history - and will easily overtake the current 2nd. It's possible they could even be the best ever. I think think I read somewhere on goals and assists combined they are 3 goals and 1 assist from being the best ever.
I actually find it very amusing that you genuinely think Sturridge is better than Aguero. It just confirms that delusion isn't just a stereo type when it comes to scousers
Think it's more of a case of that Sturridge works very well with Suarez, they connect, don't think Aguero and Suarez would have the same impact as SAS have because Aguero and Suarez are too similar. Like Sky says, if Suarez was too leave (hopefully he doesn't though!) then we'll need too replace him with a player like Aguero/Suarez.
Aguero and Suarez would be a nightmare to play against, just because there similar I don't buy that they wouldn't work. Aguero and Tevez where very impressive when they played together, and Tevez's style was very similar to Suarez
You don't interpret things very well do you? SAS is wa gwan. Agureo and Suarez as a partnership wouldn't be as good imo, S and S compliment each other perfectly.
You do realise Sturridge missed 8 games in the middle of the season as well and Suarez missed the first 5? Had Suarez been available all season he'd be above 30 goals already, and had Sturridge not missed 8 it's fair to say he'd probably have another 5 or more goals. Sturridge - 20 PL starts, 2 sub appearences. 20 goals. 7 assist. Aguero - 15 PL starts, 2 sub appearance. 15 goals, 2 assists. So they both score a goal a game from starts, yet Sturridge has 7 assists to Aguero's 2 in only 5 more games. Your "he ignores team mates" is looking a little bit silly with the number of assists he has this year.
