Monks really done well, one win in ten, out of Europe, out of the FA cup. Did well against the big teams, like who? Palace? WBA? God knows what you think a bad run would be for him.
Smallest book in the world- Monks book on strategic substitutions.<laugh>

8 wins out of 36 would be a bad run <whistle>

Did well against Napoli x 2, Everton x 2, Liverpool, Arsenal, Cardiff and Stoke but don't let that get in the way of an already biased argument against monk <ok>

For me, that run there is as difficult as anything Laudrup faced in his final 10 games, hence why Monks record mirrors Laudrup's final 1 in 10 wins.

Fact of the matter is, 1 win in 10 is relegation form and with most of his squad back to pick and choose.

Valley you are as naive as Monk, the only thing that matters is the points, under Laudrup we had more and were further up the league. Thats the only thing that matters.
Dont know where Dai gets his info from but Ive heard he is out at the end of the season, that the board will not discuss any summer signings with him. Time will tell.

Oh, forgot to mention taking the lead in 3 out of 4 the last Premier League games and not won any of them.

And you are naive if you think that everything was rosey under Laudrup. Monk to has suffered injuries to key players but some seem to ignore that i.e. Jonjo, Pablo and DEyer have picked up knocks under Monk and Michu has only just returned. I hear a lot of excuses.

Monk has done an okay job under the circumstances and I do not understand why you are seemingly spouting venom at him at every given opportunity gendros.

Doing better actually, the swans are scoring more and creating more chances under Monk. I have addressed the broken link above.

The comments under the blog say it all. You can't come to any rational conclusion based on 4 premier league games under Monk.

It was written on March 10th, Monk's stats will be worse now. (Not that I'm Monk-bashing).

    UPDATE:

Played 7, scored 13 (1.9 goals per game), conceded 13 (1.9 goals per game), 0.9 points per game.

The fact now is we are scoring more than under Laudrup, conceding more than under Laudrup, and are scoring points at the same rate as Laudrup post Cup win.

But the sample size is still too small and a win tomorrow would swing the stats nicely in Monk's favour.

the set piece stats are interesting

"Monk's Swans are also four times more likely to score from set-pieces. The two phenomena are related.

Laudrup's disregard for set pieces is backed up by his figures in this category. In his first season as Swans boss -- a successful season by any measure -- his side scored the fewest set-piece goals in the Premier League. The change under Monk's stewardship has been immediately obvious, not just on paper, but seen on the field.

The one extra chance Monk's Swans are creating per game is probably coming from set-pieces too, which has led to more goals, and more points (Monk's Swans are hitting the 1.3 average). Monk's defence is no better -- it's been as bad as it ever was under Laudrup -- but unlike Laudrup's Swans, Monk's have scored enough to offset that problem."

Which is why our defence needs major surgery in the summer.

We've said all season the defence has been crap. Not Laudrup, not Monk and not even Allah (peace be on him) could sort that out <laugh>

Napoli x 2, Everton x 2, Liverpool, Arsenal, Cardiff and Stoke - you missed out Albion and Palace

    Last 10

Lost to Everton, Liverpool, Napoli, Albion, Everton
Drew with Stoke, Napoli, Palace, Arsenal
    Win Cardiff
    Out of two cups
6 points from 7 League games - 4 winnable games

    previous 10

Lost to West Ham (bad) Spurs, Man U, Man C, Chelsea, Everton
Drew away to Norwich and Villa
Beat Man U, Brum and Fulham
    In two cups
5 points from 8 League games - 2 winnable games (Villa arguable)

Up to West Ham we'd only had one disappointing result - Away to Cardiff, a team that parked the bus and got lucky.

I was all for Monk taking over once Laudrup had gone but …. serious questions need to be asked.
