Yes, you are dead right. Complete idiocy.

How can you put the biggest race of the night to one side because you don't like the results??? Now that is idiocy.

What are you babbling about? Who said anything about not liking the results?

Monterosso was rated 121 when he won it and 115 when he placed. No idea what you are getting at in this post?

So You Think was well beaten in 4rth behind Monterosso who was clearly a stone better on Tapeta, happens with some horses, look at Shuruq.

The reason the World Cup isnt as strong as it was is because the best dirt horses from America dont go for it on tapeta but to suggest you can go over and pick up prizemoney with a 100 rated animal is absurd. You wouldnt get near a possibility to make the field if you are rated anywhere near 100.

Afternoon, all. A rare treat just now – battered cod and chipped potatoes. 9/10. You can tell ‘New’ Labour have been ousted, can’t you!

Meanwhile, I see that next week at Aintree Mr Henderson, the forum’s favourite trainer, plans to run both Grandouet and The Riverside Theatre back over hurdles. Interesting, especially the latter who will be perched on just 145, I say, 145...

Pea and ham soup and a granary roll.

A satisfactory 6.5 out of 10.

Would have much rather been picking over a cod and chips with Barney.

What no peas, or greenery to go with it...!!!

I would expect that steak not to be the biggest thing you could have ordered off the menu either eh Oddy...

Nass, the dear old taxpayers can’t be asked to subsidise mushy peas as well, although personally I can’t see why not, so my lunch didn’t include them as well, unfortunatelty.

Tomorrow's ‘Lincoln’ could turn into a bit of a farce, I see, troops. Already 3 non-runners including the likely favourite, Captain Cat.

Really interesting runner tomorrow though is Viking Blond in a selling hurdle of all races (3.05 Uttoxeter)! He once went off fave for a Welsh National and I can remember a couple of years ago, on here, a much respected, handsome and popular forum member tipped him up to win a GN. Huge fall for the horse in little over 2 years.

They did have a 24oz T-bone but I went for quality over quantity. No greenery I'm afraid, but several large beers <ok>

Just looking further ahead to better and brighter things I see that Annie Power, Hurricane Fly and The New One are still down in the entries for the Aintree Hurdle...

15:05, Doom Bar Aintree Hurdle (Class 1) (4YO plus) - 2m 4f

Annie Power
Diakali
Grandouet
Grumeti
Hurricane Fly
Irish Saint
Melodic Rendezvous
Ptit Zig
Rock On Ruby
Rule The World
The New One
Whisper

Have we any thoughts on what will be a good looking race if they all turn up...??? Im just leaning towards The New One, but it is with no great confidence at the moment...

Sponsored by The Doom Bar... Sounds just the place to go after you've lost all your money on the nags...<laugh><laugh>

Dumbarton 25s ew got bad form but last 2 runs at this track under similar conditions were very good both times in defeat dumbarton can carry the weight so that isnt an issue , goes the distance , Hughes has been onboard a few times . It must just be the hatrick of 7s pushing the odds out lol.theres bad and good too the field in this one watt brodewick is good but 19f 17f and now 17f in a week does not warrant the odds it is given too skinny and very opposable again , I wont bore you with the rest of the field I will just save my energy for praying lol
