  2. Spitting is unacceptable IMO and should be treated in the same way as biting as far as I'm concerned. I actually think spitting is worse but appreciate that others don't agree.

I would rather get punched than spat on.
But I would rather get spat on than bitten.
If you get bitten, its the equivalent of someone injecting their spit into your body.

So in order of what I would prefer:

    1) Punched/hit
    2) Spat on
    3) Bitten

Atleast if you get spat on you can wipe it off.
If you get bitten, their saliva is in your blood stream eeeeew.

    Ban the **** already. He's a disgrace.

And can anyone spare a few quid so we can fund a #moyesforlife banner to fly over Old Trafford?

  5. Just as much chance through spitting, hence players getting sent off the field when bleeding.

There is just something about spitting that makes me see red whereas the biting, despite being a disgraceful act to carry out, I find slightly funny too because its a "what were you thinking?" moment.

Agree about the punching. A lot of us Liverpool fans said Suarez would have been better off punching Evra and Ivanovic, not only does it hurt the opponent more but also gets a lesser punishment.

This is what he has been quoted as saying.
He hasn't made any suggestion as to what can be done about it, or even that something should, he's making an observation.
Having said that, I agree that it's a stupid line of reasoning for him to get involved in, because he shouldn't be inviting any suggestion of bias.
People will imply in his words what they will and someone in his position should stay well away from any hint of partisanship.
To me, his words come across more for concern over his precious PL profits than caring about how crap Utd are, but he needn't worry.
Despite what the media think Utd aren't the only team in the PL, and it won't take global audiences long to attach themselves to someone else.

  7. He can't make any suggestion that something can be done as that would be favouring / helping Man utd. But why make these comments in the first place? Man Utd are not the be-all-and-end-all of the league, they are one of twenty teams in said league. They are one of seventy-two league twos and hundreds more lower down. They should not get special treatment same as we shouldn't and don't.

I don't want to turn this into a Suarez Against The World argument but I think spitting is worse too, at least it provokes a worse reaction in me.
Irrespective of health aspects, it just seems a horrible thing to do. It happens a lot in all walks of life and I hate it.
Biting, in comparison, is just such a bizarre thing to do that I didn't really have any appropriate reaction other than amazement. Weird, but not so disgusting for some reason.

You just know the FA are going to bottle the decision and let Fellaini off AGAIN just because he missed Zabaleta

we all see things dif, but i personally see it as Biting is just a sign of frustration from the player, spiting is showing contempt and deserves a right hook.

both are wrong, but at least one is understandable to a degree ie the frustration part, how do you justify spitting?

  15. Thats what all the potential strikes etc was last years wasn't it? I'm sure Liverpool and Man Utd made the same claim a year or so ago too. Seem to recall comments along the lines of "nobody pays to watch Wigan" from Ian Ayre.

Exactly what I said above you.
The fickle plastic section of the public will soon attach themselves to another successful club if Utd are out of the limelight for a while.

Both at fault here to be fair.
Shawcross is holding him, pulling him back, hugging him.
I would want to do exactly what Fellaini did here and chin the little c**t if he was doing this to me.
Still, chinning the little c**t is also against the rules.....so they both cheaters,

Someone needs to point out to the ignorant twat that we just won 2 games in 5 days <ok>

If only it was someone's job to ask football managers to explain their comments...

    no this is actually serious.

clear bias implied and a minimum of a grovelling retraction required but most likely falling on his sword is actually whats needed.

He's just admitted its all a fix... that thye'd rather erase this season and give utd an 18point head start.
