Never mind the coming ins and going outs, we have to try and keep what we have! no doubt we should be a top 6 team in this league and competing for automatics, whilst no one expected the season to be as bad as it was (at least before Cotterill turned up) I think we all thought we would be fighting at the right end of the table, not to say we are safe but things are looking good. Some great players have been added and our already great players are now finding form. Fielding I'm made up for, called for him to be put back in the team a few months ago. JET and Baldock both have 1 year on their contracts remaining....... This really worries me. Cotterill needs to somehow get these contracts extended! Wade Elliott should be brought in permanently, for a year or 2, same goes for Nosworthy. We have a solid spine to the team at the moment. Fielding, Osborne, Nosworthy, Elliott, JET and Baldock, with the likes of Cunningham, Williams, Patterson and Waggy all impressing, next season SHOULD be better. Things to do in the summer for Cotts . Get JET & Baldock to sign new contracts . Sign up Wade Elliott & Nosworthy . Release the deadwood, Fontaine, Pearson etc.. . Make us promotion contenders!
Agree needs to sign patterson,[three years] [Elliott,Nosworthy] one year deals. Sammy and Jet new contracts Sign Gillett two years. couple of tweeks and ready to go.
JET and Baldock will go if an established NPC side comes in for them. Whatever happens, we mustn't repeat the Delboy v Maynard debacle - if they won't sign they don't play. We need to field players who want to wear the shirt - even if that means fielding inferior or inexperienced players.
If they don't sign contracts, put them on the transfer list and aim to get in a replacement. We mustn't sell them for a fifth of what was offered in bad blood.w offer them a one year extension if needbe to keep them till next summer or get a higher value if sold.
