Demba Ba - "Knee is no problem!"

I think if he has a great first season and stays injury free, we'll probably offer a 2/3 year extension to his deal. He certainly got a glowing review from West Ham fans though, so I'm looking forward to seeing him.

I'd say four years personally - especially on a pay-as-you-play type deal which we have him on now. It's a gamble, but it's a gamble between either having a crocked player on our books getting paid a weekly wage for an extra year, or losing a top, TOP striker to a big side within the next 2 years if he keeps up his performances without any knee troubles. That really depends on whether Ba would rather stay here or move, of course.

I just think that this low-risk course of action could bite us on the arse far more compared to having to pay an injured player for a while. I mean let's face it. We're good at doing that and it doesn't do much harm - but losing a 15-20 goals a season striker after just 2/3 seasons would be much more difficult to deal with.

I think he is a cracking signing going off his games for west ham. There is a problem with the knee or he wouldn't be on a pay as you play contract.

 

Of course he will say that, not exactly going to go around saying he's ****ed is he!
