A recent audit by the FA has placed the Leeds United Academy as the sixth best in the country. This takes into account the number of Academy graduates who progress to the First Team.

With Leeds having such a good Academy, one of the best fan bases in football, available on the cheap and the potential to give new owners a huge return, why is it that there aren't any wealthy suitors queuing up to buy the club?

Also, with Leeds making such a big contribution to English football when you look at the players out there who have come through the club's Academy, why on earth is the Football League treating the club so poorly? It's a fcuking disgrace, and Harvey and his thick pals need to sort themselves out ... quickly.

Isn;t there somehting about grading the various academies, and we are close to failing to get the top grade, meaning we lose out on a lot of dosh and the kids can leave for a pittance of compensation? Not sure where that has got to, but if we are doing that well in that regard, it would seem like not only the FL but also the FA has the knife ready to stick in our backs

When my father was alive and before we had Bates he used to say to me Leeds will always do well as they are a one City team. Years on when you look at all the other major Cities in the UK it is hard to think of many that do not have at least two teams and a split fan base.

Most prem clubs have Cat 1 status and we are 6th in Cat 2 which falls a million miles below what you need to get Cat 1 status

We are sixth OVERALL, regardless of Cat 1 or 2 ... it makes you wonder:

Paul Robinson
Sam Byram
Danny Rose
Matt Kilgallon
Tom Lees
Fabian Delph
Jonny Howson
James Milner
Aaron Lennon
Luke Garbutt
Elliott Kebbie
Alex Mowatt
Dom Poleon
Barry Corr
Charlie Taylor
and so on, and so on ... can't be bothered filling up the page ....

all players capable of playing in the FL or Prem ... straight from our Academy, some who have become full Internationals ... how many can you name from, say, Chelsea Academy? Or Forest? Or Spurs? Or QPR? Or Hull? Or WBA? Or Hammers ... the so-called academy of football? Fcuking cnuts this FL!!!

Couple points, great for the academy and great for the club to receive credit where credit is due. We often talk about how good the academy is and it really does help the club massively in terms of first team players and sales. I dread to think where we'd be currently without it.

If you were to look at it from a neutral's perspective for a minute, I don't think we are that attractive a prospect purely because we don't own stadium or football ground, without top flight status its hard to see why anyone would specifically pick Leeds over any club without previous affiliation. Couple that with the mess that the finances are in and what Bates said is quite correct to some extent, whoever comes in to take over has a hell of a lot of work to do to get the club back on a stable base, only then I think we can truly look confidently for promotion which will take a tremendous amount of patience from the fans and I doubt that’s guaranteed due to the **** we've put up with for so long.

And thirdly, I don't think the football league actually view themselves as being unfair to Leeds United, I think they believe they are being fair but subconsciously they are being assholes without realising they are targeting LUFC...

Pretty sure we are grading in the 3rd category, but that is purely based off the amount of money pumped into the academy and the amount of staff overlooking it I believe so isn't really a true reflection

Only academies that I can think of off the top of my head who I am envious off would be southampton and perhaps Liverpool, I'm sure there are a few more but can't think of em really

FFS why do you have to keep turning it personal when someone disagrees with your dated views?

You are scraping the barrel to the depths that Grayson and Warnock had to go to in an attempt to find something positive that just isn't there.

Totally agree with you mate <ok> and whilst I have nothing against anyone remaining positive I don't agree that they have to keep on turning it nasty just because they do not agree. Really was no need to "wish you supported scum".

At this point in time, trying to post anything positive would simply be bullshit. The yep, twitter, waccoe are all full of same stuff. How we've been hoodwinked again. However the taxman is no better. You would think having been stung once by Leeds they would have kept a closer eye this time. The same goes for the local businesses being shafted.
I've run my own business for thirty years and wouldn't give leeds a weeks credit given the past history and lack of assets.
I feel a lot of sympathy for anyone caught again but they've been foolish.
Personally, I try to keep my treads and posts accurate, if they don't suit someone they are more than welcome to ignore them. As I've said before, doesn't bother me one iota

the "wish" quote was merely to highlight I'd rather have all the negativity over the Pennines than with us, I mean nobody any ill ... as for Haigh, I've always said give him a chance until he proves he doesn't deserve our support, after all he put a lot of his own money in ... his time is now, he's publicly stated the club is secure and won't go into admin, and if he's lying I will personally lead the lynch mob

Billy, ask yourself, did he invest the money, or give us a secured loan at a juicy interest rate? I don't know myself, but fairly sure I can guess correctly!

I would say he lent the money (no one gives away money) that he woulda been happy to write off if his takeover went through. Now I would say he is expecting it back but I don't think you can use that as an argument against him, as I said no one gives away money and even more so when its that sort of sum.

Billy I enjoy reading your views and they DO make me question my own, I have no problem agreeing to disagree with some of them and I would love your positive ones to be correct over my negative outlook, I just feel sometimes passion boils over and you come over with what feels like a personal attack when someone disagrees.

Moving on and no hard feelings <ok>
