Honestly, I'd play Alnwick. Elliot scares the bejeebers out of me with his 'keeping' skills. Each to their own as far the eye makeup goes but I'll use it to rip you if you are ****e <laugh>

See Pardew's now out in his support for LDJ. I mean, it worked so well for Cisse, why not?

He might really be out if things keep going the way they are.

There is NO way Pardew will give youth a chance so Elliot will definitely be playing. Even though we have nothing to play for it also looks like he's now decided Adam Armstrong is not ready for the PL. Surely in these last 8 games it would be beneficial to give these lads a taste of proper action, they can't do any worse than our current flops playing at the 03 Arena.

The kids will put more into it than the current crop of flops.

You know what? I'd rather see that useless fckwit who shall not be named put the usual strongest XI on the field and get hammered every, single week. It's going to make no difference to our level of investment, our attractiveness to players, and so on. I reckon the only thing that'll make us a team players want to play for is a new manager, so surely to fcking god an 8 game losing streak is enough to get him sacked??? And if he can't blame/ruin the young players, all the better.

Just to add, I read somewhere that Pardew is literally quoted as saying - upon NUFC reaching 40 pts - "we will be giving fringe players a chance" yet every fcking game since he's always, always reverted to his strongest XI available in his half-baked sh!tty formation.

Its the perfect time to blood young players but I can't see Pardew ever doing it.

To say its the perfect time is more than stretching it. You could blood young players but its always easier to do when senior players and the team is in good form. Unfortunately all our senior players are on the beach. So it is highly likely chucking them in will just see them experience hammerings, get left with mental scars and the lingering thought of not being good enough.

Dummett seems to have come through alright in spite of how badly some of the senior players have been.

If you play your most experienced players you could finish 8th......or 9th.

If you played your kids, like us, you might finish 8th or 9th....like us!<whistle>

Got to be the right time to do it! If you can't do it now, when can you? We will have Gallagher, Ward-Prowse, Reed, and a few others, as well as the more regular Shaw and Chambers, featuring between now and the end of the season.

I think when Pardew say young players he means young fringe players like Dummett and Sammy. Adam Armstrong is the only actual youth player I'd like to see but he hasn't been available for the last 2 games and we are all just guessing and hoping that he's ready for the first team, especially considering he's only just turned 17. It's difficult to fit him in to the side anyway as Pardew will want to give LDJ every opportunity before he makes a decision on him - I've already made a decision but I can understand him getting started. I wouldn't be leaving out Colo or Willow to play Streete and I doubt the like of Kemen are up to the physicality of the Premier League so I don't know who else would be put in. Who else would everyone play from the youth set up and who would you leave out?

I thought Kemen was very physical from what I saw of him. A good prospect for the future.

He looks good but there is a world of difference between the under-18s/under-21s and playing against Premier League players in their 20s and 30s.

Yes, but he still looks like a good prospect for the future.
