Just a little something to pass the time by.... what would be the ultimate gift you could give to your father to do with football.... My dad being a Man city fan (yuck) one year I got him a signed BWP shirt and haven't been able to top this since.

Who does/did your father follow and if money wasn't an object what football gift/experience would you buy for him??

I'm letting him get my son a season ticket this year! The present is that I'll pay for my own.

A season ticket would be a great present! A more reasonable gift could be a game at SMS with a prematch meal. I'm thinking of taking my son because I want to go and he would never have the funds. A real treat, though having been a guest at Man City I can say it doesn't have the same atmosphere as being in the crowd. A great gift though.

Hey Fran my dad used to take me to Maine road as a kid.... obviously when I started supporting my very wise mothers side I said no thanks :)

I must say it was a great atmosphere there however if you don't support the team you will never fully appreciate it.... I would rather 20,000 on a winters Saturday rather than a 60,000+ at city of Manchester or old trafford anyday!

It was at Man City's new ground...looks like a swimming pool with all that blue. Saints lost sadly, but at least I didn't have the embarassment of being ejected if we'd won. A friend of my brother's had a permanent table there, but somehow didn't have any corporate guests who wanted to see Saints!! It was a great treat, but you're isolated from the tension. I mean Saints were losing, but it wasn't upsetting because there were half-time drinks. Not natural.

Maybe this Season, you should just give your dad money, for the ultimate Citeeeeh experience.

Fathers day is a **** and pointless day, created to generate capital for card manufacturers and sellers.

If you've got a good Dad, show him you appreciate him. It's no good after he's gone. So endeth the sermon, sorry.

went to reading saints at madejski in corporate hospitality due to my dads work friends, saints won that day and they didnt appreciate my cheering as the saints started winning and cheering all the lads off the pitch that day! completely right about the lack of tension especially when your supporting the away team and your winning

Reading fans don't like cheering or any kind of noise at Football full stop.

My dad is a reading fan and I found one of those reprint team photos on e bay from when he used to watch. Then I decided to try and trace his favourite player. It took some time and a few phonecalls to people of a similar name, but I found a very old but very generous ex reading player who was more than happy to be reminded what a player he used to be- my dad was dead chuffed and the whole only cost about a fiver...
