PHP: L'Equipe says PSG at "real risk" of Financial Fair Play punishments. UEFA accountants concerned by Qatar Tourism Authority sponsorship deal. L'Equipe also says that UEFA accountants found PSG directors "a bit haughty" and "less convincing" than their Man City counterparts.
" UEFA accountants concerned by Qatar Tourism Authority sponsorship deal" Hardly means action is pending, sounds more like they are going to look into the dealings. Truth be told a sponsor can offer any amount they like and there is nothing UEFA can really do about it. As long as it is a straightforward payment and none of that cash is going back to the sponsor or other dubious places via dubious means then UEFA can do **** all/
The whole thing's a scam but do we really think PSG will get anything other than a slap on the wrist (if even that). FFP is lip service and it was ALWAYS going to be the case that the oil clubs (amongst others) would find a way round it. If UEFA/FIFA were serious their very first target would be Real surely. Like that's going to happen
How so? Real Monaco Chelea City PSG all of the oligarch owned Russian clubs. These are the clubs that ****ed up the transfer market, especially the English player transfer market.
Because you made losses over the regulated amount, but because you aren't in the CL it won't affect you till next year.
So if a team in the CL had recorded losses over the regulated amount they would be punished? Not very fair, is it? Liverpool has had plenty of time to sort out their finances.
They don't want you earning CL money while you are making a loss to stop owners just throwing money at the club to gain CL success. Lucky for you they dragged their heels long enough for you to escape punishment. By the rules Liverpool are OK, don't you refer to the rules often enough when distancing your beloved Chelsea from PSG and the likes.
But it's okay for clubs to spend beyond their means just to get into the cl? The risk of financial meltdown is basically the same.
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/mar/05/liverpool-champions-league-financial-fair-play Think you may do when accounts are revealed, which means you would be penalised in 2015 for the 2011-14 period. Can someone explain why clubs not in Europe this season are exempt
Not sure with the whole selling of the club ect, I have no idea, and have no interest in the financial side of football other than they are robbing bastards That's the thing though about FFP. Bigger clubs can spend a fortune and spend two years after that balancing the books, smaller clubs would never be able to balance a massive outgoing so 3 years would never cover it. Monaco springs to mind. The big clubs stay big and the small small. There will be one or two exceptions over decades but mainly it will remain the same clubs thanks to FFP.
The rules are not finalised, there are more sanctions being discussed. For the league you may face a points deduction. In the CL you can face up to nine different sanctions the most serious a ban. So you can be punished but remain in the comp.
Explained here why Liverpool get away with it. Uefa do not have time to assess them once they know they have qualified for Europe and censure them in time for the June punishment deadline http://www.financialfairplay.co.uk/...ing-question-of-‘fairness’-of-ffp Guessing punishments will always be a year behind as they have to wait for clubs to submit accounts etc
There are league rules, a possibly points deduction for breaking FFP, as far as I know we don't seem to be in any bother in terms of the PL FFP. Even then I doubt any punishment would involve a points deduction. Funny that below the PL the sanction is a transfer ban for the championship and L1\L2, why does the PL escape that sanction.
