Are we a feeder club for Blackburn now? Don Cowie's Cardiff future, this season at least, has seemed destined to be away from the Cardiff City Stadium for a number of weeks but he's remained. An exit before the transfer deadline for Football League clubs at 5pm should now come. Cowie hasn't been involved for over a month now with reports saying that OGS is prepared to let him go out on loan to join Blackburn, who have already signed Rudy Gestede and Craig Conway from us this season. The Scot is in our 25 man Premier League squad but isn't in the first team thoughts is he so if he can get a loan move to someone else it's best this happens and it looks like it will. Surprised he has had more of a chance to be honest. He hasn't let us down during any of the limited chances he's been given this season imo. Can't see any reason to lighten the squad at such a crucial stage, I'm sure there'll be a injury recall option though.
Mr. Anonymous he may be, but he stepped in for Medel's injury against Wigan and Hull and did a bloody good job. The fact that we lost both games shouldn't count against him - in fact we should have won them both with or without him. Unless as you say Stevo, he'd be on instant recall, I'd keep him just in case Medel gets crocked again. Other than that slot, I don't think he'll get a game again this season unless we just have to get a point against Chelsea the last game to stay up and we need to play a 5-4-1........... EDIT: - ........and he'd probably be the one up front playing lone striker!
Jose played without a striker at Old Trafford at the start of this season. Obviously he set up to get a 0-0. I'd have no issues playing 1-5-5-0 with Mutch as the front man of the 5 to try and scrape a 0-0 for survival from Chelsea. Cowie would certainly get a game in that formation........... Chelsea have had a few issues with teams parking the bus this season too.
Very interesting! .....................Marshall......................... KTC.....Caulker.......Cala.....Turner.....John Fabio.....Medel.....Mutch.....Cowie.....Bellamy I wonder, would they get a point against Chelsea last game?
Not advocating Malky tactics are we Sparkey??? BTW looks as though OGS has refused to allow Cowie out on loan & has offered him a new two year deal (WOL - I know, but it makes sense really???)
Whiffle - if we need one point from that last game to ensure the Prem next season, I'll take Tan picking the side as long as it worked. Mind you, he'd probably be annoyed with Marshall for not scoring the winner...........
