Bristol City boss Steve Cotterill does not anticipate any further comings or goings ahead of this evening's deadline for loan signings.

Bristol City boss Steve Cotterill is not planning any further business ahead of today’s deadline for emergency loan signings.

Having already brought in six players on short-term deals, City’s manager is happy to work with his existing squad for the remainder of the season.

And no players were expected to depart Ashton Gate before this afternoon’s 5pm deadline.

Cotterill confirmed: “We have done all of our business and I’m pleased about that.

“I’ve not had any phone calls so far and, unless that changes, everybody will be staying put.”

Although there are a number of fringe players who could benefit from playing regular first team football elsewhere, City’s manager has decided to keep the squad together during the run-in.

He explained: “I’m reluctant to let anybody go out now. This group of players has been through some choppy waters and I would like them to enjoy the rest of this season in and around their own team-mates.

“Unless something happens that I don’t expect to happen, then I think they will all stay together now, even though we have a bigger squad.”

I don't think we were expecting anyone coming in. Wouldn't want anyone to be honest, need to keep a consistent side. As for players going out, Parish I feel should be loaned. Richards is usually on the bench nowadays so god knows where this leaves EP's future...

I was hoping some fringe players would go out on loan

Torquay, Northampton, Wycombe and Portsmouth could do with some fresh faces <whistle>

I'm sure we could help the "gas" with a striker to keep them out of the conference.

I dont think we have that many strikers to send out.
Maybe a keeper, or a midfielder perhaps

No they sent him back even thought they only have 1 keeper who is still not 100%. Apparently he was that bad they took the risk on playing there other keeper even though he wasn't 100% fit.....
