The worst thing that Phil Brown ever did was selling Damian Delaney to DQPR. and that includes his singing.

But great memory of a fantastic goal. DD for sure shut the boo boys up.

I loved Damo but I dont agree, he wouldnt have got in the team ahead of Turner and Gardner so it was only a problem another season later when we sold Turner. The worst Brown did was without a doubt signing Jimmy Bullshit, and not just for his own apparoach but also what he did to Ash. The man shouldve left with his shirt retired and a statue erected instead of that ugly mess.

Of course Ash is / was big enough to choose his own mates, but there are so many things that went wrong with the signing of Bullshit.

The last players attempt to tackle him! What's going on there? He must have had a few bob on DD to score? :)

You are entitled to your opinion like i am mine. Selling Damo was a poor decision as he covered 3 positions. But heo ho at least DD got to the PL as well. In the end.

I was in the South Stand and got a great view of it. Damo said afterwards that he took his shirt off because he didn't know what to do after scoring. It was a wonderful moment.

Just seeing Jason Price on there reminded me that I bumped into him in B&Q in Leeds about a fortnight ago. Judging by the way he was dressed - knee pads, other safety gear - I'd guess he was there in a trade capacity. Im sure he's happy and that but you cant imagine many of our current players retiring to be a handyman post football, which i suppose shows how far we've come.

    That is all.

Wayne Brown in the Dale goal had one of them games where he kept everything out we threw at him but good old DD came up with something special. He scored a better one v Bristol Rovers last game of that season if memory serves me . same end but right foot curler :)

The Bristol Rovers goal was very similar but I think the run from halfway and great finish for the Rochdale goal trumps it. This one is still shown regularly in the pre-match build up. I'm not a fan of Palace (understatement!) but I am always glad to see Damien doing well wherever he plays - he was always a good, wholehearted player who gave his all for City and is always assured of a warm welcome whenever he returns.

He played a great one two with Jamie Forrester and hit a superb RIGHT foot curler into the far corner - with his weaker foot I might add :). Both great goals none the less.

He was miles better than bloody Gardner, the soft ****.

Delaney had the same sort of game as Davies, Hobbs and Gerrard have played in more recent years. Proper commitment, minimal mistakes, no fuss. We've been blessed with defenders like this in the last few years.

I remember the game at BP when thouands jeered his every touch and he left the field in tears. Wasnt he about 17 or ridicoulously young anyway? Our fans can be right ****s at times.

A shocking display of ****ishness from our boo-boys; PT wasn't very popular at the time and Delaney was seen as one of his golden boys, even when played out of position (and he often was) Delaney never hid and never stopped trying his best. He's a big part of our rise through the leagues and for that I'm glad he's got to the PL.
