    I personally think the standard outside the top 6 is very poor. I watched us play out one of the dullest games with Villa I've ever seen the other week.

    West Ham can't score, Cardiff are very poor as are Fulham, Norwich are workman like with very little flair or creativity. Swansea to their best to bore the opposition to death by passing the ball sideways and backwards. We're an athletic and powerful team but without Cabaye lack realy creativity and Southampton are a bit naive in that they don't adapt their game from the high press.

    I mean it's made the relegation battle and title race exciting, but the quality on a match day has decreased IMO.

    Actually yeah when you say it like that. <ok><laugh>

    It actually makes me feel better as we've produced some fine performances. Our trouble is inconsistency and individual errors but it seems most are like that. At least we're showing flashes of quality at times. Out the cups now so it's down to the nitty gritty.

    Have to say poor for me. I think our league is vastly overrated. Its just competitively poor.

    Our performance in Europe suggests otherwise. It hasn't been some off day, its been real maulings where we have been chasings shadows. I fear they are a few steps ahead in terms of how they play.

    It was proven when Man Utd were embarrassed by Bilbao in both legs during the Europa Leage a couple years back...the 6th or 7th best team in Spain gave the English champions a footballing lesson.
