Better but still not good enough to stay up, a draw was up for grabs tonight with Liverpool nowhere near their best but once again our general lack of quality showed, unlucky but the West Ham game is massive now, we need a surprise result from somewhere and tonight was a good chance missed.
Referee for some reason, from start of the game, was not going to give any decisions in favour of Suarez.
He and his officials made up for it in the last five minutes though with a string ridiculous throw in decisions which ultimately limited our chances of utilising injury time.
Because referees, like many people, are sick to death of his constant whining, diving & face pulling.
I no it's not a new theory I'm coming up with but I'm ****ing sick to death of Altidore. He has gone backwards if anything. Wickham should be playing before him. He's the only forward I know that marks a defender for **** sake! Before anyone starts he is not to blame for tonight, he is not my scape goat. He's just ****ing awful!
Wickham is a ball greedy egotistical glory boy. He should have played in Giacc on goal, he'd did the same thing in his last match before he went on loan. Jozy is not the answer but Wickham defiantly is not. His attitude is rotten.
I suppose a corner from Gerrard deflection and those throw ins were ridiculous. Verging could've been sent off but Suarez took at least 2 dives which maybe swayed the ref. he is a fantastic footballer but his antics are a disgrace. The second Vergini one he easily could've caught the ball and stayed on his feet but his only interest was gaining a free kick and trying to get a man sent off. Sad reality of the modern game
I honestly don't know which one you're talking about bri. I never saw one time when that happened (I'm not saying it didn't I just didn't see Giacc from Wickhams shots) so maybe Wickham also didn't. He put himself about far better than Jozy did tonight and he had a couple of shots, which is 1 more than I've seen Altidore have in the past 6 games! A strikers job is to score and if you don't shoot you don't score. I saw no egotistical stuff from Wickham, I simply saw a striker trying to score goals, which is something we've been missing all season
plus the laws of football (rule 297b) state clearly that Goofy cheating c**ts should only be awarded a free kick when they are not diving/biting or racially abusing people

Spot on Marcus. We could easily have been down to 10 (and Suarez tried to make it happen) but imo Vergini looked lost. I am not ashamed of tonights effort. I think many of us would have taken -1 when many were expecting 3,4, or a 5-0 trouncing. I thought the substitutions worked well and we gave as good as we got. Ki and Johnson made a big difference imo. W Ham is not the be-all and end-all but it`s very close. I would be thinking about starting the W Ham game with the team that finished tonight but have Borini instead of Altidore and Alonso back for Vergini. I`m not sure we have any other option other than to go for it and that, to me, would seem to give us our best chance.
