Just drove into the city from working in Leicester, stopped for a KFC at Burtonwood, and the place was full of out-of-town plastic reds, and fat assed mackems. The rocket was already busy at 5pm.
Tiny bit off-topic. Have you lads adopted the frankly epic Mignolet song? Was class at away games used to get a proper buzz going.
well all set for the match. Got my lucky Stella glass I have used all season when watching at home, also drinking the same beer, St Peters ale. We have not lost with this combination yet this season, other beers just don't do it for us.
Crazy atmosphere for Sunderland @ home. Let's hope the players play to a level this support deserves And I hope the players don't try too hard and just play as they've been doing all season
Liverpool v Sunderland (20:00 GMT) It looks like Sunderland have not only parked the bus, they have popped the tires, set it on fire and used it as the basis for a flaming barricade at Anfield. Three centre-backs in Wes Brown, John O'Shea and Santiago Vergini will be supported by the combative pair of Lee Cattermole and Liam Bridcutt in midfield. Is that enough to stem the flow of Liverpool's attacks?
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers speaking to Sky Sports: "We played against 3-5-2 at the weekend and worked it out as the game went on. Sunderland are fighting for their lives and they need the points to stay in the league. "I would like to say a massive thank you to the supporters for the welcome we got tonight. We have been away from Anfield for some time and it is nice to be back. Hopefully we will bring that onto the pitch tonight."
See, I yawned when I read that! Guess I'm tired of reading the same crap each week, just from a different player. If it's not someone "warning" their team mates, it's someone else issuing a "rallying cry" for their team mates. Whatever, as long as Rodgers puts a firecracker up their arse and gets them attacking from the go, we'll be alright.
I keep reading/hearing everywhere people saying "last year people didn't want/were questioning Rodgers, and now look at the team after 1 year". Sorry I must have missed this because apart from a couple of negative people moaning about him I think 95% of fans were right behind him and could see where we were going as a football club under him.
Yeah it's a nice story but Rodgers' plan was evident from day one and everyone knew exactly why it was going to take time No one has a ****ing clue what Moyes is trying to do
Quick shout from a Swansea fan. Good luck for tonight. Need you to beat the Mackems to keep us out of the bottom 3. Fingers crossed Brendan wins you the title too. All the best.
