I've given up on second but remember Bristol city had a right meltdown and we overcome something like a 15 point gap to go up. A big loss with a season ending injury to wings or vokes and they do a Bristol. But its a tiny, tiny, but still possible chance it will happen. Look at the boro bottle top to see it can sometimes happen. Were QPR, they will give us hope and it will go down to the last game only for us to lose when a win would have taken us up!
I think Dyche has got them so well drilled that even three or four key injuries and they'll have enough to get over the line with games to spare. Six points should be enough from eight games. I don't think even we would **** it up in their position.
Sorry... a voice in the wilderness here...but I think Burnley are the best team in the division....and will easily win this match...sorry. However I think they have about the best say team of 12/13 but such a lack of depth that the will struggle in the premiership. We are playing now for position 3...to get an away first match in the semi's against the theoretically 6th best team in the league
Not a lone voice Beth, I agree. Dyche has done a brilliant job, I like the way they play and the league position doesn't lie. Not sure if they will beat them Foxes, but I think at home they have a great shout. But we should be beginning to play with more freedom now a play off place is looking safer, its our job to keep the pressure up, who knows what could happen. Plus its the teams that carry form into the play offs that tend to thrive.* * Again, no research has gone into this statement.
Whilst it is still a very long shot that we can snatch 2nd place it would be good to apply a bit of pressure on Burnley just to see how they cope..... Agree with the others about Burnley being a fine side and fully deserving to be where they are, to be unbeaten at home all season and only losing 3 games away takes some doing and I certainly wouldn't begrudge them going up if that's how it pans out....
Anything is possible but i wont hold my breath while waiting for it. Burnleys machine is very well oiled and just keeps going. Dyche&co have done brilliantly so far and may just pop the title out from leicester.
Leicester are staying in that champions spot whatever happens now in my opinion and we are playoffs at best but I would prefer the foxes to win this. It would give us a very faint chance of second if we can now go on a run but very unlikely now. I know the playoffs are a lottery but I would like a day out at Wembley, if this happens and we can sell the 30,000 plus tickets for the occasion it would be nice for our owners to see the potential fan base is there for the future investments in our club!
The only way we can gain automatic promotion is if Burnley and Leicester both fold! Stop dreaming people!!!!
In any other season to have 69 points from 38 games you'd be sitting in one of the automatic promotion spots, it just shows how consistent both Burnley and Leicester have been. Burnley have only lost 3 of 38 and Leicester have won 25 of 37. Both are well worthy of being champions and both deserve to go up. Saturday's result will be irrelevant to the chasing pack...
Love the Leicester. What a marvellous team, City ................. place for a holiday, you name it, how could you not like Leicester? I'm sure if my ancestry didn't come from around Loftus Road area, it would have come somewhere in Leicester. Go you good thing!
Burnley are still unbeaten at home, i don't see us changing that, they have a couple of players out but their team spirit could certainly pull them through. We'll do our best for you
Why every QPR should never say never until it's over and we can't do it Burnley done very well Foxes also But on our game we are clearly the best footballing side with Wigan a close second but no prizes for that I agree
