No worries carmine Food is supposed to be good But the service bit is the bit that's killing me, as already said difficult to interpret the need 100% of the time for every guest but we do try...... Now as a fellow city fan come in for lunch as I have offered previously, we will discuss food, service and city! And hopefully by the end of it you'll come back on here and tell everyone how fantastic it was...... We will even come up with the carmine experience, so that anyone else who reads this can just come in and say I'll have the carmine please! It will make you famous bud, So what do you say??? Best regards Fatso
You mean Hull Pie. Their pies are of award-winning quality. And they're about to open up a new branch on Newland Avenue as well (it might be open by now in fact).
Whoever said not606 was ****, eh? This is ****ing gold. PS I've never actually been to Mr Chu's so have nothing to moan about, sadly.
Jimmy, as a restraunteur you might just want to rethink The Carmine Experience. http://iconicphotos.wordpress.com/tag/carmine-galante/ It might not turn out to be one of your more attractive promotions.
The best restaurant in East Yorks - by a country mile, is the Michelin starred, Pipe and Glass at South Dalton. The Westwood in Beverley is also very good, if a little poncy. For good food at a very sensible price, Grants Bistro in Beverley is well worth a visit.
I'm in 's waiting to meet someone before going to a restaurant for a pre-match meal. I'm not expecting a big turnout
Frankos son runs La Perla now and Franko took over his son's place on prinny ave, di Giannis. It was called Cattania before Le Perla and it was as good, if not better, and a lot cheaper.
Henry Yeast & Son best restaurant in Hull right now by miles, its a truly magical dining experience, you are transported to La Belle Ãpoque with 1920's Parisian Bistro feel to the place , the food is devine and has a beer menu of its own..!! I had a meal there a few weeks back and haven't stopped thinking about the place since , and wanting to go back
Total Bull****, I have been and the wife has been several times and I can catagorically state there are no maggots. If you actually use your intelligence you would realise that maggots are the larvae of the housefly and you do not see many of them in the winter. Also the review doesn't not JUST take into account cleaniness. You can get a **** review if you do not keep your paperwork up to date or your staff training is lacking.
After OLM lead me to this rather amusing thread via the 'nosegate' one i thought it was the perfect opportunity for me to plug the families new gaff opening down Beverley Road. 'Liberty's American Diner' is opening inside what was the Dorchester Hotel/Sullivans Bar. Due for opening HOPEFULLY July 4th (Independence Day) Now, the website isn't up and running properly as of yet so for those of you on the social media...here is the Facebook page for the diner. https://www.facebook.com/libertysdinerhull?ref=ts&fref=ts Plenty of food challenges, a real jukebox and 1950's theme for you oldies to get a bit nostalgic
I was going to start a thread about Dorchester. Went by it at weekend and wondered what was happening to it. What they doing with the upstairs?
It's opening up as two restaurants, the diner has the side with the conservatory and the other side is going to be an Italian i do believe. At the moment no plans for an upstairs at the diner but there is a possibility for expanding upstairs for a function room type of thing, the Italian next door will be doing a function room upstairs and extra seating.
Skidby Mill is frequented by Hull City staff and management. Also in Cottingham, The Bluebell is very good .
Yes and the food is spot-on. Much better than the Buffet Restaurant opposite Lloyds bank on Savile street. If you actually think about it the maggots story was a load of bullshit. Maggots are the results of flies laying their eggs, you don't get flies in the winter, when this incident was supposed to of happened. More likely a piece of mischief spread by a rival.
