This team is ****ing **** but trust me it is far far from bring the worst united team ever.

40 years ago the team was so bad that it got relegated!

This team can beat the low teams but get turned over by the best teams. I would place it at the moment at the level of spurs.

I have to feel sorry for Moyes. He looks totally out if his depth at the moment. I didn't expect him to look like a rabbit caught in the headlights but if he continues to give the impression that the job is too big for him he is doomed. United may have made a mistake in giving him the job but it isn't his fault is it?

Like the original poster I have been watching United since 1963, for my sins this year I am a season ticket holder. (must be my fault we are dire this season)

Pointless blaming Moyes, he is not out on the pitch and he cannot change much other than throw a few players on - when you go one down after 45 seconds against a quality team it is always going to be an uphill battle!

A combination of factors are working against us:

Some early season injuries gave us a back 4 not used to playing together.(Smalling/Jones/Evans/Vidic/Rio, etc.)
A number of players are ageing and not performing well.(Rio, Vidic, Carrick)
New/relatively new players take time to settle in. (Mata, Fellaini, Januzaj)
Some poor luck and not scraping wins which maybe we used to.
Picking players in their wrong position. (Welbeck left wing, Kagawa similar, Rooney too deep, etc.)
Central midfield/holding player - never replaced Roy Keane.

As a long term supporter I'm philosophical, we have no divine right to win.

I agree we lack passion and heart, it frustrates me to death to watch us play square balls and back passes when we need to attack.

Sorry for me Carrick just isn't a central midfielder we should have bought. He doesn't get forward enough, he is not strong enough in the tackle, and his scoring record is awful - these are his good points!

Cleverly is not United class and Jones sadly looks out of place in central defence.

Swallow the pill this season, Mata will come good he is a quality player.

Love the idiots calling for Moyes out as if magically a new manager will wave a wand and cause these same players to suddenly become world beaters. Last season we were average but the other teams were poor, this year we are poor and they have improved, hence the big gap.

I'll keep singing we'll keep the red flag flying high, win lose or draw and whatever division we are in as a Mancunian born and bred I will simply support the team that will always be my club- Manchester United.

Delefelelelelfeu has played well this season though, no arguments there. Coutinho hasn't sparkled quite as much this year fair enough but the lad's 21, been in and out through injury and still managed 3 goals, 6 assists and statto tells me he has 45 chances created to his name (Barkley has played 3 mins less this season and listed as having 22 to his name) Suggests it's you underrating him rather than anyone overrating him.

As for arguing with you about "random rumours" you hear only in your own head mate....think I'll pass on that one. If you want to spend all day arguing about **** all you could always pop back onto our board, Dave's still around <ok>

He's a decent player Billy, I never said otherwise, and he might develop into a tremendous player, we'll see. My point was really only that the pivotal point in Rodgers tenure, was the signing of Sturridge, sure Coutinho made an impression, but not on anywhere near the level that Sturridge has.

Go back and read all of Rodgers tripe about his tiki taka 'philosophy' and then tell me that he hasn't binned that off for a much more direct style of play with Gerrard largely the orchestrator from deep lying positions. With the aim of utilising the pace of Sturridge and Sterling. The vast majority of your goals come from pace lead breaks in behind or set plays with Gerrards sublime delivery. Gone is the tiki taka possession based sideways and backwards bollocks that was the cornerstone of his power points......why exactly? errrmmmm....<whistle>

I can't agree moyes isn't too blame.. He sacked the back room staff. He trains them, he sets them up with an alleged style and system. He chooses the negative tactics. He chooses the 11 players. The guy is out of his depth. Sure someone like Swansea would love him. He can **** off.

    Have a read of this
