more news Wolves are battling Sunderland for Blackpool midfielder David Vaughan. The Express & Star says sources close to the Wales international have confirmed Wolves have now joined the race for the 28-year-old, who was one of Blackpool's stars of their entertaining but ultimately doomed Premier League campaign. But they will face stiff competition for the 5ft 5ins playmaker with West Bromwich Albion, Sunderland and QPR all vying for his signature. The left-footed schemer is currently on holiday and will take his time over a decision with the race hotting up for his signature after an impressive season in the Premier League, when he was named as Blackpool's Player of the Year.
Would love Campbell in but think we need some big imposing lads in the middle. Canny player Vaughan though.
Is he really worth it? He may have played well in that Blackpool team, but his previous stats don't really shine. 2000â2001 Chesham United 29 (16) 2001â2003 Stevenage Borough 25 (3) 2002 → Billericay Town (loan) 16 (6) 2003â2005 Yeading 88 (65) 2005â2006 Brentford 23 (9) 2006â2007 Birmingham City 43 (9) 2007â2010 Leicester City 41 (5) 2009 → Blackpool (loan) 20 (9) 2009â2010 → Derby County (loan) 8 (3) 2010 → Blackpool (loan) 15 (8) 2010â Blackpool 31 (13)
Me too. I don't think he scores that many goals but he can cause problems in the box which would be good with Gyan around.
For £2m I'd take him in a flash. No doubts at all. A great addition and powerful target man which we are very much lacking at the moment. SAFC would be a huge club for him and he would be very hungry to succeed. He and Bruce already know each other very well too.
Tribal football..........you may as well ask Big Chris what's happening! But i'd still take Campbell. 13 prem goals for a relegated team shows he has something about him even if Blackpool did create millions of chances. Rather him than N'Gog tbh
Can't go too far wrong for £2M, but he reminds me of Bent (needs 3 chances to convert one) only not as good.
SUPERKEV..... released fom Southampton. stacked shelves for Tesco, played for Hitchen town, Watford I think was next, and the rest they say is HISTORY.
I wouldnt waste any time with these guys, just offer them the chance to come and play for Sunderland football club and if they chose not to then move on to the next target, the last thing we need is a team full of Muntaris who dont give a **** about the club
start of summer, ALS reported that he had a relegation release clause of £1.5mil, dunno if there was any truth in that but i'd take him for that much, my dad's a leicester fan and always thought he never got a decent chance there (different league i know)
I doubt Bruce is actually Keen on DJ, just keep getting the link by the tabloids because of his Birmingham days, I could be wrong though.
