Knew this was coming the second I saw the comments from Inter. Zabaleta is better though, is he off?

If we fail to secure him and he goes to City, then that will be another major disgrace from Arsenal and Wenger, and further proof that Wenger needs to **** off as soon as possible.

I really wouldn't know what 2 think if we allowed this to happen, and let's not say it's out of our hands, it's very much in our hands, give the man a bloody ****ing 3 year contract rather than letting him go to a rival and strengthen them. This happens, and we can all forget about Arsenal moving forward in the way we keep saying they should, it would be the same old ****ing story from this club.

If an offer from city is on the table I think it makes little difference what we try, he's gone

But we could've had it done and dusted months ago by giving Sagna what he wanted, this happens, and it's another major f**k up from the sad bunch of w**kers running this club, from the board all the way down to Wenger. Really good way to show our intent and ambition by letting one of our best players go to a rival club.

If this happens, it'd be clear as day light that nothing's ever going to change at this club, and that the sad state of affairs is just going to be the norm, fighting for 4th place, winning f**k all, getting ass f**ked by our rivals, and then watching our best players go to those rival clubs only to further strengthen them while our senile excuse of a manager comes out telling everybody how great we are with huge ambitions to challenge with his bum chum sidekick Gazidis also touting how we're going to be up there with the best in Europe. This club has become a parody.

Zabelata has been playing to many games and havent had a chance to rest, unlike City left back position, where Kolarov and Clichy rotate.

Having Sagna would give more rest to Zabelata

Sagna is the best RB in the league IMO. Him or Ivanovic.

If this happens you can bet that Jenkinson will be the 'internal solution.'

That'll cheer Micah Richards up - a swap deal? I think he's a decent player and would, like Sagna, cover Centre half,

Pffftt the excuses are coming in already.

The club is powerless? Powerless to give him the contract length he wants and deserves? City would never get the chance had we done that.

Typical that he's also one of the only real fighters left in our squad, and we'll let him leave just like that.

Basically we need to try and match what City are offering, certainly in terms of length of contract. I don't think we can match their wages, so if he does decide to leave, then what else can we do ?

Oh please, what can we do? We could've wrapped this up much earlier in the season before City showed any interest, we insisted on not giving him a 3 year contract, that's what he wanted. So please oh please don't come out with the excuses already of saying 'what can we do' poor little sweet innocent Arsenal being over-matched by City, we f**king didn't sign him and allowed it to come to this because we dragged our feet rather than putting pen to paper months ago.

If we do lose him though, out the window goes your entire reprieves for Wenger, you've been going on about giving him the summer to use funds and strengthen, yeah we're really going to be doing that by losing one of our best players, and one of the top RB's in the EPL and Europe, what a ****ing awesome way of strengthening the squad. I really don't see how you could still stick by Wenger if Sagna does go to City.

Arsenal better ****ing sign him to a new contract.

Its because we are unwilling to offer him a three year deal that he has even started speaking to other Clubs.

It was totally preventable. We are just incompetant

But so far all the reports have been that we haven't offered him a 3 year contract he asked for, that was the sticking point.

We could have offered a loyal and consistent player, who is still in great physical shape, still among the best RBs in the world, and our best fullback by a mile, a contract of respectable length way earlier. That is a risk the club took and they will now have to offer much more than what they didn't agree to in the beginning, in order to keep him.

Stop with the "what can we do" bullshit. What do other top clubs do to keep their players?

With all the other areas that need improvement, you can forget that we'll invest in someone as capable as Sagna as a replacement.

You bunch of whiners clearly have no idea about negotiations and are just grabbing at any opportunity to beat the manager, whether based in fact or not.

    Pathetic.

I want Sagna to stay, but he is not up there with the best RB's in the world. He is very solid defensively, but going forward he is nothing special. If he goes to City, he would be second choice to the immense Zabaleta. Also, Seamus Coleman has had a much better season, than Sagna as well. So he is just about top three in the PL. I do not think he has many more years left as a RB at this level, but the annoying thing he was showing signs of being a very good CB, so if we lose him to City, we lose a versatile and solid player.
