First point: it's not up to us to find the next owner. It's up to the current owners. Like with anything, they can't just walk away they have to sell it to someone who is willing to take over. If they fail to do that they aren't going anywhere.

Your second paragraph is the ridiculous drivel you keep repeating. There's no evidence to support your theory that the next owner will be one who ruins the club. Can you offer any reasoning to back this up? Or is it iust scaremongering?

Keeping Hull City in the Premier league, talking to Hull City Council about expanding the stadium (more corporate boxes) and developing the surrounding land in partnership with them would be worth far more than £10 million a year in five years time. Any sponsorship we'd get from developing long term relations with Asian companies as "The Tigers" would be the cherry on the top of the cake.

Just as we may get an owner that strips our assets we may get one like Shiekh Mansour. As Tiger Filey says our next owner may be our best ever.

Probably a stupid question or two, but that ain't gonna stop me.

How does the club make money from the stadium?

Isn't the stadium is owned by Hull City Council and operated by the SMC on a lease?

I realise bigger gates etc would (I think) give the Club more money but how does the rest impact the club? I.e. What benefit is there to the Allams in spunking a load of cash on a council asset, that the council won't spend anything more on, to benefit the council/Hull FC/SMC?

Shouldn't the owners, i.e. the council, be the ones looking to expand and improve the KC?

Why is the emphasis always placed on the Allams to build bridges and make all the concessions and not the council?

If this is too complicated for this thread and needs its own, I'm fine with that, I'm just genuinely confused about the whole stadium setup and issues around it.

The club effectively own the SMC, so any additional revenue generated by the SMC goes into the same pot.

If the Allam's decided they did want to build the East Stand extension(or introduce safe standing) to increase capacity, they could do so on the basis that all money generated by the extra capacity went to the club and not to the council, generating the income required to fund such works. It's not realistic to expect a council suffering massive cut-backs to fund the extension of a ground of a Premier League football team and FC don't want it extending anyway.

The council are already trying to build bridges, but AA won't accept the olive branch, he basically wants Geraghty sacked before he'll talk to them again.

They were but they have now changed their minds over the last two weeks. Give them credit for that!

So, the best way to make the club self sustaining (as said by Assem Allam) is being held back by the ego of Assem Allam after a perceived personal insult?

Will Geraghty still be on the council after this year? I just checked, and he was elected in the 2010 Local elections, so he'll be due for re-election this year. I'm not suggesting Labour won't take Orchard Park, but is he definitely standing for another four years?

I hope it'll dawn on some those in favour of the name change that Allam doesn't have a clue. Today's interview does real damage to their argument.

Consider Hull Tigers, Steve Atkinson, with his many different accounts, Yestohulltigers, Gerard Toplass, & many more, are making some comical stuff up on Twitter.

They're as bad as Happy tiger.

    This from CI.

By the way if they seek an appeal through the courts against the FA, the FA will take sanctions against the club.

Football authorities frown on any clubs taking associations through the legal courts. UEFA would also probably ban us from European competition.

So they lied yet again when saying they'd leave the club within 24 hours. Now they know no one would really care if they left they have to make up something else to scare us with so it's "I'll run it in the best interests of the shareholders, not the club." Eugh just **** off Allams and let us enjoy football without all this ****.

Anybody who believes that the proposed name change is anything more than Allam throwing a petulant tantrum because he didn't get his own way with the CITY Council is a clown shoe mong.

How much clearer does it have to be?

Other than us remaining Hull City AFC this could be a good cherry on the top of the whole thing! Geraghty or a massive sports village for all the city to enjoy! Hmmmm... Let me see!

Also those little TV suites look good in the East Stand. We should look to spread them along the whole of the stand and get some more hospitality boxes. They would be worth around 300k a season full if you had 8 of them. Costs would be half a million or so for the structural deck above the concourse but the actual boxes wouldnt cost too much surely.

It's pretty obvious why the FA will reject the name change and that is because the Allams have produced no evidence whatsoever that a name change would have a beneficial financial effect

If it's just a case of trusting the Allams then they really should have tried to work with the fans on this instead of dictating to them , they have simply alienated large numbers of fans now
and have no mandate to go back to the FA and say they have the backing of the fans

I really hope it doesn't get to the point of legal action against the FA

AN interesting comment to come from EA was this:
"The owners will not do anything to the detrement of the club...but....."

Open ended consequences of a No vote....

Burnsey did ask him to elaborate but he wouldn't, he just left it as an open threat.
