Strange enough, although poor with the ball, the fact that Jonjo did a lot of running alongside Leon and Michu freed up JDG to play with the ball. Not once did I moan at him not tracking back last night because he didn't have to as there were plenty of bodies in the middle.
I thought Jonjo played some shocking passes and his attempts on goal simply gave the ball away, but he did add some presence alongside Leon. We need two defensive midfield players and only have one in Leon Britton.
Agree Bob, he does have a mistake in him, due to this I'd rather he play further up the pitch than in a holding role. IMO though he's still better than Canas whatever position he plays. It all bodes well for the next few games though Bob, with Shelvey getting back to full fitness and with Michu back and playing in front of him we should see his passing improve along with his general play.

The thing about Shelvey being out of position still can't disguise the fact that his passing was suicidal. His shooting just as bad. Doesn't matter where you are on the pitch, a professional footballer should still be able to pass to his teammates. He was effing terrible last night - no hiding it.
IF ONLY!!! WE had three Leons playing for us. We were down and out . Leon has been with us for over ten years and that is the farthest forward I have seen him. He is a leg end!!!
Couldn't disagree with that. Taylor, Jonjo and Michu haven't had a lot of games time -should only get better.
That great headed goal by Bony at the 11th minute insures a 25% higher bid for Bony in the summer from Wenger , whether we get rid of him in the summer or not , there will be a bidding war for him , guaranteed!
