Would have been great if Tiote's strike had gone in. Really caught it well - and Cisse wouldn't have missed the absolute sitter that immediately followed it!

Well, given that Mariner is the referee for this game then this could work on our favour. Tiote goes in with a crunching late tackle and Ameobi gets sent off...

Or better still, Tiote absolutely floors Lambert and then Mariner sends off Lallana by accident.

Tiote seemed more like his old self.

Any one of them could be sold in the summer, it just depends who comes calling and how much they're prepared to pay.

I'm gonna revise my prediction and go for a 3-1 defeat.
Southampton can play football.... that will kill us.

I think we can get a draw. We're set up better to play away from home and the fact that Southampton will go at us does leave them exposed to counter attacking football which is when we're at our best.

For me I think another 3 - 0 defeat for us. Absolutely no creativity from midfield and our defenders look woeful at present.

Play the way we did last night and the floodgates could open. We were absolute rubbish and got what we deserved.

We'll be hammered again. Stoke could overtake us at this rate.

Completely toothless, the Heed could beat us at this rate.

Much more of what we've been getting and I could be going to the Heed next season.

In a way, I wonder if a complete capitulation is a bad thing? Relegation is obviously off the table, which is always a good thing. But I wondered if getting essentially taken up the gritter til the end of the season and a slide from where we are down to 12th or 13th might be a blessing in disguise, something to make the owner really think about the man in charge and to make him realise that anything other than a complete overhaul and investment will likely result in relegation.
