Being a libertarian myself ... I have some sympathy with what he is saying as it applies in australialand ... seriously there are constant examples of " aboriginal" rights advocates who ride a gravy train based on their supposed ethnicity. Last week or so on the Oz version of Question Time ( Q & A ) there was an alleged aboriginal who was claiming land rights for her " people ", her point being somewhat diluted by the undeniable fact that she had a complexion like Morticia Adams. Similarly there was a recent hullabaloo over the first " aboriginal " who had made it to the office of attorney general ... I was confused as he looked the spitting image of Joe 90.

 

I have some sympathy with this as well - "I don't agree but defend your right to say it etc." I think the other thing is whilst pretty much everyone (apart form Disabled) is probably offended by something or other the chances are that they have views which others would find offensive.

On here for example, racism is always the one people pick up on but I don't think i've seen many complain about the continual xenophobia, homophobia, use of derogatory terms to describe handicapped people or misogyny that is posted pretty much every day. I'm quite offensive about some things so try not to pick others up for things that may offend me (and admittedly I fail miserably sometimes.....).
