Im talking about the performance level. There's been a few times this Season where we have in fact played to a very high standard.
Our so-called 'great' result against Bayern last year didn't amount to a hill of beans - we lost the tie! Funny how we always, and I mean always, bottle it when it really matters.
It's not an accident at all, it's further proof that with the squad we have we are the 4th best team in the country. We don't spend the crazy sums other clubs do and that's why we'll never be better than them, if another rich foreigner comes looking for a toy to play with we'll be the 5th best team in the country. Humiliating as it is leaking 17 goals at our 3 nearest rivals each game still only gains the oppo 3 points....
I think people are reading too much into the 'accident' word. I don't think Wenger meant it quite as it's been interpreted, he was using it as an analogy when driving a car, if the driver has an accident it doesn't suddenly make him a bad driver. Not a great analogy perhaps, but the media have picked up on the word 'accident' as it's headline grabbing and everybody is running with it.
He is making the analogy of the team being a driver. He wasn't literally saying it was an accident like he slipped and dropped the game on his toes!
I just think it was a poor analogy. I can see what he was trying to say, but the word 'accident' suggests that you're not responsible for it - and he most certainly was.
Having an accident doesn't make you a bad driver. Repeatedly crashing at the same point on the road every time you get to it for several years and never changing the way you drive to stop it happening however most certainly does.
he needs to go to accidentlawyersareus.co.uk to sue for this car accident as he is due compensation, probably. text the word accident to 08770123456 and get plagued by cold calling ****ers for ever.
