We need something to give us some confidence. A come back from nowhere in a game where we are down and out. Olympiakos didnt do it so what? Moyes needs to then use that to rile up the players and make them play with purpose. Can he do that?
The stats (bar goals) arent that bad, but only listened on radio so dont know how you looked with intensity etc
Everybody knows City are the better side and it showed. Honestly though it wasn't our worst performance this season.
Which tells a story really. This wasnt the worst performance, not by far, this was pretty standard in all honesty. The fact we have had much worse is quite sad.
We had plenty of the ball, but our players seemed to be scared to take a chance in the final 3rd and play a risky pass, we then hung onto possession for to long allowing City to get back and in to there shape, and then the opportunity was gone. We didn't really create any clear cut chances
Thought united were pretty decent in the first half, but it all went down hill when cleverly was taking of at half time...
We looked good for periods tbf BUT without ever looking like scoring. I think City took their foot off the pedal for those periods as well. We lacked pace or anyone with vision or drive in that deep central midfield.
