Young Deulofeo ripped us a new all night. They are just better players and better prepared. No shame in losing to a better side and manager.

Disappointingly predictable poor performance. De Jong looks slow in both pace and reaction times. Mbiwa was plain terrible. Sissoko has squandered more possession with poor passing than HBA would in a full 90 minutes of greedy runs. Dummet looks limited and is terrible at set pieces.

Proves without a shadow of a doubt we are an utterly limited club with no fight, nor passion, nor leadership. We rely solely on other teams being worse than us, it's our only "game plan". We might as well not have squad numbers for all the squad game we play.

Tonight was Martinez vs Pardew - very similar clubs, similar options on terms of loaning players, yet we chose not to take Lukaku and make do with Shola. They picked up Deulofeu and Barry whilst we toil with Marveaux.

3 goals on the break, shocking defending. What is it with 3-0 scoreline, no wonder it's called the 03 Arena.

    Don't be too down lads.
We expected a defeat... And to coast to the end of the season.
There's still the warm glow....any decent games on tomorrow?

Think that's it for me until Pardew goes. Couldn't give a fck about the lack of expenditure, we're not even playing football at the moment. Tactics are non-existent, the same sh1t players are stuck with time and time again, youth is NEVER given a fair chance, there's simply NO plan b, let alone c or d. I have honestly lost count of the number of sickening performances under this manager, yet all I think when I reflect on victories is often how lucky we get. Hull away who missed two or three sitters before we scored, then carried on that theme. Stoke at home against fcking 9. Happen to play the worst Man U team of a generation. Should have been buried at WHL by Spurs who contrived to miss 15 chances. The list is endless. I don't even want to get into a discussion about it, Pardew out, the end.

Do you really think that Pardew decided to say no to Lukaku? If he had been given the chance to make that loan signing I'm sure he would have taken it immediately. Today was a club with some ambition vs a club with none and that was the main difference.

We can't play that midfield at home, just no creativity. It's a midfield for an away game, where you stay compact and hit on the break. It's not a midfield to take the game to the opposition.

Ben Arfa should start our home games from now until the end of the season, yes he goes missing but he can create.

Starting to think De Jong isn't up to it too. Best team won, no complaints but as stated earlier their two best players were both loan players. Can see them catching Arsenal now.

I don't believe Pardew is battering down doors demanding change, though, do you? I would imagine he's as weak asking for players as he is in his interviews - "that one's for Mike" - didn't look much like a man who hated his conditions then, or since. Nah, I think he's a hideously limited manager and the biggest indictment of the board is not in player recruitment but in standing by the fckin tw@t.

I agree with most of what you say there. Gouffran has been looking pretty lost and generally not worthy of a place lately. If not for our limitations, I doubt he'd be starting. Though, that could probably be said for a fair few of our first team.

Unfortunately, to a man, hardly any of our team showed up. Barely anyone can walk away with much credit from that performance. Everton were better, but they didn't even have to be that good to leave with a deserved 3-0 win.

Not trying to dwell, but as good as Everton are, I wouldn't have taken one of their players over Cabaye. I think Barkley will be a better all round player than Cabaye. But as of right now, Cabaye is the better player and his departure is still our most obvious shortcoming.

I'll add that only one person is more unfathomably still-employed - David "Davey" Moyes. And I mean in the World.

It's probably too early to tell but he looks sluggish.

When he was told he might replace Shola, I think he took it too literally.

Indeed <ok> Not sure Pards is the answer but it would nice to see him given a squad of his choosing to work with so we could find out. End of the season would be a really good time to change manager given the squad changeover required. However I could only see 2 situations: we appoint a cheap 'yes man' manager who has his team dictated to him and is left short; we appoint a half decent manager who has his team dictated to him and is left short

Either way its not a recipe for success. The first one is limited, the second just gets pissed off and leaves. We are where we are and might aswell get on with it. If we were likely to do something decent with the squad in the summer I'd probably change. Pardew has done a good job under difficult circumstances. If those circumstances are to continue then maybe there is little to be gained from change.

LDJ isn't looking any better than Shola. Has played enough now to show what he's worth and he isn't getting any better. Time to look elsewhere.

Which leaves us where, with this squad? Relegation beckons. If I were Ashley, I'd be advertising everywhere from Dubai to fcking eBay that the club's for sale. We probably need 10 players and a new competent manager just to stand still.

If any of our players had ambition to fight, it was effectively snuffed out in January. Everton's players have no such brakes on their game, they're actually encouraged to go for it.
