The gulf in professionalism and polish between the CTWD media output and the adolescent nonsense emitted by EA and his hangers on is astonishing. Anyone not aware of the issue would think CTWD were the multi million pound business and Ehab's lot were the volunteers functioning on donations. How poor is that ?
It's a fact that AA 'dislikes' (hates) HCC, or at least certain members of. But to think this name change is simply his way of getting back at them is ridiculous, and inaccurate. It might be a pleasing (to him) side benefit, but it is not a reason. Fact. I wish people would stop peddling such ridiculous rubbish!
I think AA wants to personalise HCFC- make it unmistakably 'his'. Rebranding/name changing is not unusual in many businesses- but crucially football is very very different. I don't think he understands the nature of the objections and is probably genuinely baffled by the 'hooligans' interfering with his master strategy. I notice that AA is a very proud man and always wears his Queen's Award for Industry lapel badge. To him our history IS irrelevant and all that he sees is his chance to make his mark. In attempting to do so, he is killing his reputation and poisoning his legacy. He seems beyond the point of no return, and is hurtling towards a crash.
It is amusing that you claim this as fact when Allam has made it clear to CTWD and to anyone he is working with at the club that he would have dropped this a long time ago if it was about money. Do you think it would be worth it even if he somehow managed to get an extra million or two (very doubtful)? For Allam it is all about showing his authority over the fans and trying to piss off the council by disassociating himself from the city.
